Quorum International Introduces Debut with Nikki Chu

Known for an eclectic, fashion-influenced approach to interiors and home furnishings, Nikki Chu draws inspiration from texture, forms and layered design. The new collection translates that point of view into lighting designed to become an integral part of the interior itself.

“Lighting has such an important influence on how a space looks and feels, and I wanted this collection to have a presence even when the fixtures aren’t illuminated,” said Chu. “We approached each piece as a sculptural object, playing with scale, texture and unexpected combinations of materials. The result feels very true to my design philosophy—modern and elevated, but still warm, livable and personal.”

The Nikki Chu x Quorum collection combines world-inspired influences with a sophisticated contemporary perspective. Glass, leather textures, hammered metal details and clean architectural lines create depth and dimension across the collection, while a refined monochromatic palette allows the forms and materials to take center stage.

According to David Patton, Director of Design for Quorum International, integrated LED technology and versatile installation options add another layer of flexibility to the collection. Several fixtures can be installed in multiple orientations or configurations, giving designers greater creative freedom to tailor the lighting to a space while maintaining each piece’s distinctive sculptural character. 

“Nikki has a distinctive ability to layer materials, patterns and influences in a way that feels both unexpected and incredibly cohesive,” said Patton. “That perspective gave us an opportunity to explore lighting differently—from the materials we paired together to the scale, geometry and flexibility of the fixtures. This collection reflects what both Nikki and Quorum do best: pushing design forward while creating pieces that work beautifully in real interiors.”

The collection includes eight distinctive designs:

Akola Flush Mount — An architectural flush mount with a modular design offering multiple configurations and three adjustable lengths. A removable hammered cylinder provides another layer of customization, transforming a functional lighting form into a more intentional design element.

Bekasi Chandelier — A contemporary interpretation of the classic Sputnik silhouette, Bekasi combines glass, iron and acrylic with distinctive mushroom-shaped globes featuring a unique flat-sided profile. The sculptural arrangement creates dimension and movement from every angle.

Bekasi Wall Sconce — Layered wispy white and opal glass, hammered detailing and iron construction give the coordinating Bekasi sconce its dimensional character. The fixture can be installed in multiple orientations for greater creative flexibility.

Goma Pendant — A softly sculpted silhouette pairs wispy white glass with hammered brass accents, balancing streamlined architectural form with subtle texture and visual depth.

Korba Flush Mount — A distinctive hexagonal silhouette brings geometry and dynamic light-and-shadow play to the traditional flush mount. Clean architectural lines create a contemporary statement without overwhelming the space.

Lagos Pendant — Designed as a focal point, Lagos suspends a smoked glass globe within a distinctive structural harp. Leather accents, stitched detailing and hammered brass introduce texture and contrast, while a tubular light source with a faux alabaster appearance when unlit adds another layer of visual interest.

Palu Wall Sconce — Designed as a sculptural 360-degree lighting experience, Palu combines wispy white glass, shaped contours and distinctive edge detailing. Multiple installation orientations and configurations allow designers to create customized compositions.

Redonda Pendant — An adaptable pendant designed for individual customization or grouped installations; Redonda combines wispy white glass, integrated LED technology and sculptural lines to create a refined contemporary aesthetic.

The collaboration builds on Quorum’s longstanding focus on original design and craftsmanship.
