RW Collective Puts Gaming Tables in the Spotlight at HPMKT

What was once a casual game-night setup, often organized around a folding card table, is becoming a more permanent part of the way people furnish and entertain. Dedicated mahjong tables are moving into living rooms, sunrooms, libraries, breakfast areas, and other spaces where friends and family naturally gather.

“Mahjong has a special way of bringing people together,” said Sharlene Boyle, creative director. “It invites people to slow down, sit across from one another, and spend real time connecting. We wanted these tables to feel like more than a place to play. They are beautiful, functional pieces designed to make people want to come back for another round.”

The new collection includes seven distinct approaches to the modern game table, from classic and tailored to casual, sculptural, and statement-making. Each design is intended to be as considered between game nights as it is during play, offering a comfortable setting for four players while earning its place in the room every day.

The launch will be celebrated with open play and a mini tournament in the RW Collective showroom during High Point Market. Open play will take place Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., inviting Market attendees to play casually and experience the new tables in a relaxed and social setting.

A mini tournament will follow on Saturday evening from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Registration is limited to 20 players, with a $25 entry fee. Participants will enjoy two timed rounds of play, a refreshment break, prizes, and a lively evening of friendly competition.

The tournament will follow American Mah Jong rules. RW Collective will provide tiles, racks, and mats; participants should bring their own 2026 card and be comfortable completing approximately four games within one hour.

“We did not want guests to simply look at the new tables. We wanted them to sit down and experience them,” Boyle said. “The open play and tournament bring the collection to life through conversation, friendly competition, and the energy that makes mahjong such a memorable way to gather.”

The new game tables will be on display and open for play at the RW Collective Showroom, 156 S. Main St, during High Point Market.

The new collection includes seven distinct game-table designs, each created to bring the function of play into a more considered living environment:

Robyn Game Table Crafted of mahogany, this transitional square game table features turned legs and a Monument White finish. Four discreet corner drink pull-outs are detailed with small brass knobs and white leather tassels, adding a thoughtful layer of function for game-night entertaining. Available in more than 40 custom paint and stain finishes, with additional tassel colors available separately.

Daphne Game Table A contemporary Louis XVI-inspired game table with neoclassical lines and proportions, dressed in a crisp modern white-and-gold palette. Crafted of mahogany with tapered, fluted legs and brass-capped feet, it offers a polished interpretation of classic French style. Available in more than 40 custom paint and stain finishes.

Damon Game Table  Inspired by classical Greek design, this mahogany game table is defined by a carved Greek key frieze, fluted legs, and architectural detailing. Finished in crisp white, it offers a fresh interpretation of a timeless decorative motif. Available in more than 40 custom paint and stain finishes.

Jolie Round Table A shapely pedestal base crafted of Mindi wood in a Scandinavian blond finish supports a circular white marble top, balancing natural warmth with a clean, sculptural profile. Available in more than 40 custom paint and stain finishes.

Sophie Game Table This upholstery-forward game table brings comfort, color, and personality to spaces made for gathering. Its tailored upholstered playing surface can be customized in a curated selection of fabrics and patterns.

Lina Game Table Drawing on vintage campaign and Hollywood Regency influences, this game table pairs faux-bamboo carved legs with a deep walnut mahogany finish. A metallic champagne-gold faux-shagreen inset adds texture across the tabletop, while four drawers with brass bamboo pulls provide practical storage for game-night essentials.

Burke Game Table A modern-organic table made from rich mango wood stained in Chestnut shows off heavy square-cut legs which give the piece a sculptural quality and fluted leg detail. The travertine top adds an earthy, organic-luxe finish to this table.
