Casa Italia Offers Unique HPMKT Experience

There is nothing ordinary about Casa Italia. From its distinctive ship-like architecture to the unparalleled Italian design throughout the four-story destination at 130 W. Commerce Ave, it offers a High Point Market experience unlike any other. Conceived by Pasquale Natuzzi Sr., founder, executive chairman, and interim CEO of Natuzzi S.p.A., who was recently named to Furniture Today’s Home Furnishings 500 as an upholstery innovator, the building embodies his vision of bringing the spirit and sophistication of Italian design to the American market. Designed by renowned Italian architect and designer Mario Bellini, its sweeping bow, gangplank entrance, and porthole-like windows make a striking first impression. Inside, bold forms, unexpected materials, signature pieces, and gracious Italian-inspired hospitality celebrate the richness and diversity of Italian design.

At the heart of the Casa Italia experience is a remarkable collection of 14 Italian brands, each bringing its own heritage, aesthetic, and point of view. Together, they create a destination devoted entirely to Made in Italy furniture and design, where visitors can discover bold forms, distinctive materials, sophisticated craftsmanship and signature pieces, all within a setting designed for exploration and connection.

“Discovery is an important part of the Casa Italia experience,” said Caitlin Smith, marketing director and building manager. “We’re proud to bring together such a remarkable collection of Italian brands under one roof and to give High Point Market visitors the opportunity to discover pieces and design perspectives they may not encounter elsewhere. And just as important, we want them to feel the warmth of Italian hospitality from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.”

The experience extends beyond design. Espresso welcomes visitors in the morning, while gelato offers a taste of la dolce vita in the afternoon. Throughout Market, Casa Italia embraces the warmth and spirit of Italian hospitality, creating a place to gather, linger, and connect. Two social gatherings will enhance the experience, giving Market guests the chance to meet, mingle, and raise a glass in true Italian style.
