City of Hope is rallying all High Point Market attendees, exhibitors and buyers alike, to join the Pink Out High Point movement on Sunday, October 18, in support of breast cancer awareness, research and treatment.
One of the easiest ways to show support is to remember to pack your pink for market. Also, the new, exclusive pink HOPE hat will make its debut this season. Marketgoers who sign up to raise or donate $50 will receive a hat to wear during Market, creating a visible show of support for City of Hope throughout High Point. Sign up, donate or start fundraising today.
Led by Pink Out Committee Chair Molly Mays Wieczorek of Uttermost, the growing industry-wide effort will extend throughout Market with showroom activations, special events and opportunities for attendees to get involved. Boosting efforts are Pink Friends, a dedicated group of showrooms where marketgoers can pick up a pink ribbon to wear throughout market to show their support. This year’s group includes Elements, Feizy, Hooker Furnishings and Uttermost.
Pink Out activities kick off Saturday, Oct. 17, with a cocktail party hosted by Schonbek/WAC Lighting featuring food, a DJ and a special chandelier activation supporting City of Hope’s cancer research and treatment.
On Sunday, Oct. 18, Theodore Alexander will host a Pink Out lunch with interior designer Alexa Hampton in its showroom. Uttermost, one of the campaign’s 2026 Pink Friends, invites marketgoers to stop by its showroom to pick up a pink ribbon and will offer a custom Pink Out coffee experience as another way for visitors to connect with the cause.
Pink Out will also take center stage Sunday evening through a partnership with the High Point Market Authority during the Sunday Night Concert featuring Andy Grammer. City of Hope will host a special VIP space where leading Pink Out supporters, including Leftbank Art (Pink Bite sponsor) and partners can gather during the concert.
“Pink Out High Point with City of Hope is about much more than wearing pink during breast cancer awareness month,” Wieczorek said. “It’s an opportunity to learn about City of Hope’s mission, start conversations with our colleagues and families, and engage with a cause in a meaningful way. No level of support is too small or too big. Pink Out gives everyone at Market a fun and accessible way to get involved, raise funds and build awareness for an organization that can truly be a lifeline when people need it most.”
“Being part of the Pink Out Committee is incredibly rewarding because it gives our industry an opportunity to come together around something bigger than what we do every day,” said Ellie Alexander, marketing specialist for Hooker Furnishings. “There’s such a strong sense of community at High Point Market, and it’s meaningful to see that community rally behind City of Hope and a cause that touches so many lives.”
Sydney Martin, vice president of marketing for Theodore Alexander, added, “High Point Market brings together such a vibrant and influential design community, and Pink Out gives us an opportunity to use that collective platform to bring greater awareness to City of Hope and the important work being done in the fight against breast cancer.”
Joining Wieczorek, Alexander and Martin on the 2026 Pink Out Committee are Shannon Becker, WAC Group; Robin Hoff, Theodore Alexander; Laura Forsythe, Ashley Furniture; Stephanie Jonas, High Point Market Authority; Alex Kennerly, Luxe Advertising; and Julie Messner, ANDMORE.
Whether through fundraising, donating, wearing pink or participating in events throughout Market, Pink Out offers everyone in the home furnishings industry a way to take part. Funds raised support City of Hope’s mission to advance innovative cancer research, treatment and care for patients and families.
