Ikano Industry Introduces Hospitality Mattress Collection

Every unforgettable hotel stay begins with a great night’s sleep. Today, Ikano Industry, one of the world’s leading mattress manufacturers, announced the launch of IKONA Hospitality, a new mattress collection designed specifically to meet the performance, customization and operational needs of the hotel industry.

Backed by nearly two decades of global mattress manufacturing expertise, Ikano Industry is already an experienced hospitality manufacturing partner globally, with IKONA currently supporting Marriott and Moxy properties in Europe. The new IKONA Hospitality offering builds on that experience, bringing Ikano Industry’s vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities, global scale and sleep expertise to hotel partners in North America seeking customized, hospitality-specific solutions.

“Hotels are not buying a mattress simply to put in a room—they are investing in an important part of the guest experience and in a product that has to perform night after night,” said Silvia Galasso, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Ikano Industry. “With IKONA Hospitality, we can start with exactly what a hotel needs, whether that means matching an existing specification, creating a completely customized solution or incorporating the hotel’s own branding into the mattress. Our goal is to be a true manufacturing partner, not simply a mattress supplier.”

Built Around the Needs of Hospitality

Hotel mattresses face demands that residential mattresses typically do not. From frequent guest turnover and rigorous performance requirements to brand standards and varying guest preferences, IKONA Hospitality is designed around the realities of hotel operations.

Hospitality-specific fabrics and covers can be selected for greater durability and tailored to the needs of individual properties. Depending on the hotel’s specifications, IKONA can incorporate additional performance benefits such as cooling, antimicrobial, or sleep-enhancing properties, and water-resistant solutions.

Hotels can also customize construction, comfort, dimensions, profile and other specifications—or work with IKONA to develop an entirely new solution. Mattresses can even be custom branded with a hotel’s logo, extending the property’s identity into an unexpected but highly tangible element of the guest experience.

“We know that every hotel brand has its own standards, design language and idea of what the guest experience should feel like,” said Galasso. “That is why customization is so important to us. We can match specifications they already have, develop something new with their team and tailor everything from the construction of the mattress to the cover and performance characteristics.”

Personalized Comfort, Designed for Flexibility

One of IKONA Hospitality’s most distinctive solutions is its zip-on, zip-off topper system, which gives hotels flexibility not only in managing the lifecycle of a mattress, but also in creating a more personalized sleep experience for guests.

The system allows hotels to create both 12-inch and 14-inch mattress configurations using the same underlying mattress platform. Because the topper can be removed and replaced independently, properties can refresh the sleep surface over time without necessarily replacing the entire mattress.

The topper system can also create different comfort experiences on the same mattress platform, allowing hotels to offer a softer or firmer feel based on guest preferences, room concepts or brand standards. The flexibility creates the potential for hotels to give guests greater choice in how their bed feels during their stay.

“Comfort is personal, and what feels perfect to one guest may not feel the same to another,” Galasso said. “Our topper system gives hotels an opportunity to create different comfort experiences using the same mattress platform. It can also help properties refresh the sleep surface over time, creating greater flexibility for both the guest and the hotel.”

A Complete Sleep Solution

IKONA Hospitality extends beyond mattresses to offer hotels a more comprehensive approach to the guest sleep experience. In addition to mattresses, IKONA can provide dedicated pillow and topper programs, allowing hospitality partners to develop a coordinated sleep solution through a single manufacturing partner.

The initial IKONA mattress collection includes Solara, Térrava and Borealis, with solutions that can be adapted for different room categories, comfort preferences and hospitality concepts.

Manufacturing From the Inside Out

Unlike many mattress brands, Ikano Industry manufactures virtually every major component of its mattresses, including foam, springs, quilting and final assembly. This vertically integrated approach gives IKONA greater control over quality and consistency while enabling significant customization for hospitality partners.

That manufacturing model also allows IKONA to work closely with hotel partners from specification through production, helping translate brand standards and guest-experience goals into a finished sleep solution.

Global Scale for Global Hotel Groups

As hotel companies continue to expand across borders, finding suppliers capable of maintaining consistent product standards across markets has become increasingly important.

Ikano Industry operates across 17 international markets in Europe, Mexico and the United States and produced more than 3.5 million mattresses in 2025. The company is also the largest global mattress supplier to IKEA.

That international manufacturing footprint gives IKONA the ability to support hotel groups with properties across multiple countries while providing a consistent manufacturing relationship and product standards.

“For a hotel group with properties around the world, consistency is incredibly important,” Galasso said. “Our global manufacturing footprint allows us to support hospitality partners across markets while still giving them the flexibility to customize the sleep experience for their individual brands and properties.”

Sustainability Built Into the Manufacturing Process

Sustainability is also central to IKONA’s approach to product development and manufacturing. Ikano Industry has been developing and using its proprietary RePoliol™ technology since 2013, enabling polyurethane foam to be reprocessed into one of its original raw materials for use in new foam production.

The approach is part of Ikano Industry’s broader focus on manufacturing innovation, resource efficiency and developing sleep solutions with a reduced impact on the planet.

“Guests may forget their room number, but they will remember how well they slept,” said Galasso. “We created IKONA Hospitality to help hotel brands make that experience their own—with the comfort, specifications, performance, branding and consistency they need to deliver on their promise to guests, wherever in the world they operate.”
