Brown Jordan, the 81-year-old iconic luxury outdoor furniture brand, has executed a lease for a new showroom in the vibrant Charleston Design District at Navy Yard Charleston. The showroom is expected to open in late fall 2026.
The 4,000-square-foot showroom, featuring both indoor and outdoor environments, will debut Brown Jordan's next-generation showroom concept - an immersive retail experience that reimagines how designers and consumers discover and customize luxury outdoor living. More than a furniture showroom, it was conceived as a physical expression of the brand, celebrating its craftsmanship, timeless design, and innovation while serving as an accessible destination and the blueprint for future showrooms throughout the United States and internationally.
“Charleston is an important market for Brown Jordan, with a strong design community and a natural connection to outdoor living,” said Ben Collins, President of Brown Jordan. “This new showroom expands our presence in the Southeast and creates a more immersive way for designers, homeowners, architects, landscape professionals, and hospitality clients to experience the brand.”
Guided by three foundational principles - craftsmanship, heritage, and customization - the new showroom concept highlights the exceptional quality of Brown Jordan's products while giving designers and homeowners the tools to create furniture tailored to their vision. Rather than presenting products in traditional retail displays, it showcases complete outdoor living experiences that demonstrate how the collections can be layered to create sophisticated residential and hospitality settings.
Drawing inspiration from the mid-century modern movement that redefined indoor-outdoor living at the time of Brown Jordan's founding, the showroom’s architecture reflects the optimism, simplicity, and seamless connection to nature that have long defined the brand. Warm teak, powder-coated aluminum, textured plaster, woven architectural details, natural stone, and lush greenery create an immersive environment where architecture, landscape, and furniture come together to tell the Brown Jordan story.
“This new space is designed for discovery—featuring intimate settings and a collaborative Material Atelier where designers and clients can explore our finishes together,” said Collins. “It gives architectural form to our 80-year legacy, bringing together natural materials, a heritage Chair Gallery, and a flexible blueprint that we can scale to future showrooms.”
The Charleston showroom’s flexible architectural system includes modular design elements. Among them: pergola-inspired ceiling structures, architectural screens, lush plantings, and curated vignettes. Together they form a cohesive yet adaptable framework that can work for markets of varying sizes while maintaining brand identity.
“Charleston Design District continues to attract top brands that are shaping the future of design, and we are thrilled to welcome Brown Jordan to the community,” said Michael Phillips, President of Jamestown. “Brown Jordan’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation aligns well with the district’s growing reputation as the premier destination for exceptional design, and its elevated yet relaxed furnishings are a natural fit for the Lowcountry lifestyle.”
Mike Pittman and Jeremy Harris of Cushman & Wakefield represented Brown Jordan in the lease transaction.
Location
The showroom will be in Storehouse 8, Suite 120, in the Charleston Design District at Navy Yard Charleston. Charleston Design District is central to the Navy Yard Charleston redevelopment, a project led by Jamestown, which is known for its design-focused approach to real estate, alongside local real estate developers Weaver Capital Partners and WECCO Development.
