As Bob’s Discount Furniture prepares to welcome guests to its new stores in Franklin, Rivergate (Madison), Murfreesboro, and Clarksville this Labor Day weekend, company team members took time to give back to the local community by partnering with Nashville Rescue Mission for a Day of Service at the Linda & Mike Curb Women's Center.
For more than 70 years, Nashville Rescue Mission has provided meals, safe shelter, clothing, and long-term recovery programs for individuals experiencing homelessness and other hardships. Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, the nonprofit continues to offer life-changing services to thousands of Middle Tennesseans each year.
Throughout the day, Bob's volunteers served lunch to nearly 400 guests at the Women's Center, spent time engaging with children and adults through activities including bingo and soccer, and wrapped up the afternoon by serving ice cream alongside Bob's signature cookies and candy.
In addition to volunteering, Bob's presented Nashville Rescue Mission with a $15,000 donation to support the organization's vital programs and services. The contribution marks the beginning of a new partnership between Bob's and the nonprofit, including Bob's sponsorship of Tracy Lawrence's "Mission: Possible" Turkey Fry later this year.
"At Bob's, we believe that being a good neighbor begins with showing up for the communities we serve," said Steve Linn, Regional Sales Director at Bob's Discount Furniture. "As we open our first stores in Tennessee, we're proud to partner with Nashville Rescue Mission and support the incredible work they do every day to provide assistance to those who need it most."
Bob's day of service reflects the company's broader commitment to giving back to every community it joins. By partnering with and volunteering alongside nonprofit organizations, Bob's aims to make a positive impact that extends well beyond its showroom doors. As Bob's continues to expand its presence in Tennessee, the company looks forward to building lasting relationships with local organizations and continuing to support the communities its team members and customers call home.
