Henricksen Announces Promotion to Managing Director, Architectural Products

Henricksen, a leading national contract furniture dealer, announces the promotion of Bob Batley to Managing Director, Architectural Products. In this expanded role, Batley will lead Henricksen’s architectural products practice across Henricksen’s 13 offices across the United States, driving growth and building a nationally connected team rooted in trusted client relationships.

As workplace environments continue to evolve, workplace design teams increasingly seek integrated solutions that deliver flexibility, acoustic performance, privacy, and overall workplace adaptability. Batley’s promotion reflects Henricksen’s commitment to elevating architectural solutions as a core part of its full-service offering—and to investing in experienced leaders who can connect strategy to execution across a growing national platform.

“Bob delivers a rare combination of technical depth, relationship acumen, and business-building experience that spans every side of the architectural products conversation,” said Russell Frees, President + CEO of Henricksen. “His ability to connect the worlds of construction, design, and workplace strategy makes him uniquely positioned to grow this practice and strengthen our teams across all of our 13 offices.”

Batley brings more than 40 years of experience across commercial construction, project delivery, commercial interiors, furniture, and architectural products. His career has spanned leadership roles in construction, demountable walls, and architectural solutions, with a consistent focus on creating spaces that work better for people. Most recently, he led Architectural Products for COFCO, a Henricksen company, where he grew market presence, strengthened manufacturer partnerships, and expanded strategic accounts.

A hallmark of Batley’s career has been helping teams secure national contracts that provide consistent pricing, coordinated service, and long-term partnerships across multiple markets. With these agreements in place, project teams can focus on a higher level of service, design, communication, and execution, helping clients stay on budget and on schedule. His background in hospitality and restaurant operations has shaped a leadership philosophy grounded in the belief that operational excellence and lasting relationships go hand in hand.

In his new role, Batley will focus on bringing Henricksen’s 13 nationwide offices closer together and deepening the company’s partnership with Allsteel, working toward a model where the dealer and the manufacturer operate as one team. He will spend significant time with local market leaders, nurturing talent, removing obstacles, and ensuring teams have the resources they need to serve clients at the highest level.

“This role is ultimately about building a team that people trust, want to work with, and are proud to be part of,” said Batley. “Henricksen has built something special—a strong culture, talented people, and a reputation for delivering exceptional experiences. I’m excited to help shape what comes next, invest in our teams, and build an architectural products practice that becomes an industry benchmark.”

Batley is a member of AIA, CIRC DE, and ABC New Jersey, and a Fellow of Leadership Philadelphia. He has served previously in board leadership roles for Westtown School, Brandywine Valley SPCA, Delaware Botanic Gardens, Widener University School of Business, and the Rotary Club of Caesar Rodney in Wilmington, Delaware. He is the recipient of the Chester County Chamber Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Four Chaplains Award, the highest civilian honor presented by the U.S. Veterans community.
