Zaven Updates Koala & Koala Open Family for S-CAB

Now, the collection welcomes a new outdoor version and indoor stools, reaffirming the Venetian design duo’s ability to create pieces with immediate character, where formal restraint meets strong recognizability.

Soft in its proportions, essential in its lines and precise in its detailing, Koala embodies Zaven’s distinctive approach: a measured design language capable of transforming simplicity into identity.

KOALA BAR STOOLS (2026)
The barstool completes the Koala seating collection while retaining the distinctive qualities that define its structure and enveloping comfort. The backrest is available in two heights: the high back model retains the same shell as the armchair and integrates naturally into contemporary classic interiors. The low-back version, on the other hand, is exclusive to the bar stools and suits more eclectic and informal settings, while maintaining its excellent versatility.

KOALA OUTDOOR (2026)
Koala steps out into the open with an outdoor version, adapting the indoor model presented in2025. A redesigned seat and the weaving of nautical rope along the tubular backrest redefine the parameters of comfort, aligning them with the needs of open-air spaces such as cafés, poolside areas, outdoor seating areas, and public squares. The optional cushion completes the product, offering soft support. The use of colour and the strong graphic lines that have defined Koala’s personality since its launch remain unchanged.

Dimensions: 56 x 50 x h. 78 cm. Frame finishes and colour-matched nautical rope are available in linen, anthracite, olive green and carmine.

KOALA AND KOALA OPEN (2025)
Designed for interior settings, the collection is developed in two versions: Koala accent chair, featuring a padded tub-style seat, offering a softer and more refined look, and the Koala Open accent chair, with a tubular-frame padded backrest–a more essential version with a graphic and informal edge.

Thanks to its versatility, Koala blends effortlessly into both residential interiors and hospitality spaces.
