Diamond Mattress Reports Strong Growth in Luxury Collections

As consumers continue gravitating toward higher-end sleep products and wellness-focused purchases, Diamond Mattress is reporting strong momentum across its luxury mattress collections, reflecting growing demand for premium sleep solutions.

From January through early June 2026, Diamond Mattress saw gross sales of mattresses priced at $2,000 and above grow 28% compared to the same period last year, with units sold rising 33%. Within that segment, gross sales in the $2,000–$2,999 price range increased 33%, and unit sales of ultra-premium mattresses priced $3,000 and above surged 60% year over year.

That momentum has reshaped the company's overall sales mix. Luxury products now account for 28.2% of Diamond’s total gross sales — up from 21.6% during the same window in 2025. Company executives said the growth has been fueled by strong SKU performance within those categories, compelling selling stories, and increased consumer demand for products that blend premium materials with advanced sleep technology.

Industry research likewise points to continued growth in luxury sleep products, driven by consumers placing greater emphasis on health, comfort and long-term sleep quality investments. Better Sleep Council research found shoppers spending $2,500 and above are increasingly motivated by advanced features, technology integration and elevated sleep experiences.

Since Diamond launched Technogel® earlier this year, the collection has already secured placements with several Top 100 retail accounts, further reinforcing retailer appetite for differentiated premium products. The new collection delivers unmatched lift, cooling and support, made possible by the brand’s patented medical-grade gel material, which moves in 3 dimensions to adapt to the body’s unique form.

Black Diamond’s key feature is Diamond Ice Flex, an advanced mineral technology fused into bands applied between the comfort layers of the mattress and shown in tests to continually pull heat away from the body. Each mattress in the collection consists of a blend of several top-performing cooling materials, including graphene, charcoal and temperature-regulating fabric.

Paying homage to the founding family of Diamond Mattress, Generations is an heirloom-quality lineup defined by timeless styling and elevated construction, incorporating premium materials such as latex, wool, more than 2,000 coils and micro-coils, a Tencel® fabric cover, and artisan finishes.

“The luxury category for us now accounts for more than one in four dollars sold,” said Shaun Pennington, Diamond CEO. “We expect this category to continue growing, especially as we prepare to launch our newly remerchandised Gel Grid collection and the Auto Pilot 2.0 smart bed at the summer Las Vegas market.”

He added that Diamond’s upcoming product launches are designed to build on that momentum by giving retail partners additional opportunities to capitalize on consumer demand for luxury, innovation and connected sleep technology.
