Ashley Observed Memorial Day with Annual Flag Raising at Facilities Nationwide

In observance of Memorial Day, Ashley marked a decade of annual flag raising ceremonies across its advanced manufacturing and distribution facilities nationwide—continuing a tradition rooted in remembrance, gratitude and respect for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Ceremonies were held throughout the week leading up to Memorial Day and led by Ashley executives at facilities in California, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin, alongside local veterans and military organizations. Additional facilities and Ashley retail stores observed the day with moments of silence, ensuring employees across the country had the opportunity to reflect and remember.

Employees gathered to observe moments of silence and participate in the raising of the American flag, honoring fallen service members and reflecting on the meaning of Memorial Day. Many locations also created Fields of Flags as a visible symbol of respect and recognized the names of heroes submitted by employees. As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, this year’s observances carried added significance—offering a moment to reflect not only on the country’s history, but on the enduring sacrifices made to protect the freedoms that define it.

“For ten years, these flag raising ceremonies have served as a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom and the responsibility we all share to remember those who gave everything in service to our country,” said Todd Wanek, President and CEO of Ashley Furniture Industries. “As we look ahead to this historic milestone for our nation, we pause with gratitude—honoring our fallen heroes and the generations of service members whose courage has shaped the America we know today.”

Ashley’s commitment to honoring the military extends beyond Memorial Day observances. Throughout the year, the company supports national efforts such as Wreaths Across America, helping deliver and place wreaths at cemeteries and memorials to ensure veterans are remembered and honored. Ashley also proudly supports Soldiers Walk Memorial Park in Arcadia, Wisconsin—a premier war memorial dedicated to preserving the legacy of every U.S. conflict and serving as a place of reflection for generations to come.

In recognition of its ongoing support of service members, veterans, and their families, Ashley has been named a Military Friendly Employer® and Military Friendly Spouse Employer® in 2026.
