IKEA U.S. Announces Escondido Plan and Order Store

IKEA U.S. announces the grand opening of the IKEA Escondido Plan and order point with pick-up. IKEA Escondido is located in Escondido Promenade at 1210 Auto Park Way, Suite F, Escondido, CA.
"The Escondido location is just one of the many ways we are expanding our business. We are excited to open our doors and eagerly anticipate welcoming Escondido area residents to this new IKEA experience,” said Laura Mellor, IKEA San Diego Market Manager.
This new format store is the second IKEA location in the San Diego metro area and allows IKEA to better meet the needs of today’s consumer to become more accessible and affordable, bringing our home furnishing products and solutions closer to the many people.
The IKEA Escondido Plan and order point with pick-up is one of many new format stores that are part of the growth strategy for IKEA U.S.—increasing accessibility to the brand and ensuring there are more ways to meet customers where they are and how they like to shop. It is different from the traditional large-format IKEA stores as it gives customers the opportunity to meet with the IKEA store team to plan and order home furnishing solutions that require a bit more help – such as kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms.
While customers are unable to take products home that day, IKEA co-workers can arrange for delivery or schedule orders to be picked up from the convenient, onsite pick-up location. With the addition of an IKEA Pick-up point, customers will be able to collect their purchases when and where it is convenient for them, supporting purchases made at the Plan and order point as well as online at IKEA.us. Online shoppers will have the option to pick-up qualifying orders by selecting the IKEA Escondido as their preferred pick-up location at checkout. Regular store hours will be Monday – Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
IKEA is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience with a variety of customer meeting points and locations that complement each other and meet people's different needs. In addition to opening new Plan & order points in city centers, IKEA U.S. has made significant investments to enhance its e-commerce experience and service offerings, including new IKEA Family benefits, lower priced shipping and delivery, Click & collect, and TaskRabbit assembly services.
