Meridian Furniture Appoints Mindy Marx to Head Product Development for Expanded Division

Meridian Furniture, a fast-growing brand known for its vast selection of high-style, affordably priced design-driven pieces, is planning to expand its home accents category and has named Mindy Marx to head product development for the division. Marx has more than 25 years’ experience creating new collections for leading retailers and manufacturers such as Anthropologie, Frontgate and La-Z-Boy.

An expert in vendor negotiations and widely recognized for her talents in both merchandising and design, she joins Meridian from Creative Co-Op, having most recently served as director of national accounts., where she led the team in expanding sales of seasonal and home décor with partners such as Magnolia Home,  Ace Hardware, Whole Foods and Barnes & Noble.

“Mindy’s background in retail and manufacturing will be an enormous benefit to our dealers and our company as we lean further into the home accents category. In our early tests of the category, we have found a great deal of retailer interest in our selections, and we believe Mindy will add meaningfully to our offerings,” said Matt Rosilio, chief executive officer at Meridian Furniture.

“This is an exciting time to be joining Meridian. It’s a young, forward-thinking team focused on growth who truly understand what and how consumers today want to buy,” Marx said. “They can successfully build out customer bases across multiple channels and constituencies and are open minded when it comes to designs across the style spectrum from mid-century to modern.”

Prior to her role at Creative Co-op, Marx was merchandise manager for Holiday Bright Lights where she drove white label development for Menards, Ace Hardware, Grandin Road, and Frontgate. Previous experience includes serving as senior buyer and wall division director at Kirkland’s Home; trend director and product development for Sagebrook Home; trend and product development executive for A&B Home; and product development manager and key accounts business development at IMAX Worldwide. Her early career experience included buying positions with Gordman’s, Marshall Field’s and Saks Inc., in addition to serving as buyer, trend and visual execution manager at Nebraska Furniture Mart for five years.

Marx received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska where she majored in fine arts and graphic design, and her master’s of business administration degree from Bellevue University where she concentrated in marketing.

She resides in Omaha, Nebraska with her family.
