Global Views + Citizen Artist Unveil Latest Collection at HPMKT

Global Views will unveil its latest collection with Citizen Artist at the upcoming Spring High Point Market. The 50-piece collection, spanning furniture, rugs, pillows, wall décor, lighting, and accents, draws from desert landscapes: shifting dunes, eroded plateaus, salt-flat distances, and the geological intervals among them. The collection expands on the collaboration built on Citizen Artist's narrative-led, culturally informed design perspective and Global Views' deep expertise in material development and global craft.

The collection pairs grounded architectural forms with softer, organic profiles drawn from desert landscapes. A palette of terracotta, soft ochre, sun-seared ivory, and verdigris pulls from natural pigments, while surfaces across wood, stone, metal, and cast forms carry the evidence of making — mineral, textured, and marked by time.

Key pieces anchor the collection with distinct yet cohesive expressions. The Nomade Sofa reimagines the camelback through landscape — its silhouette tracing the rise and fall of dunes, deliberate in detail, offering nostalgia without sentimentality. The Wanderer Lounger is low and expansive, its form one continuous, sweeping gesture. The Baobab Dining Table grounds the room, while the Tamu seating collection spans dining chair, counter stool, and bar stool with generous, curved forms. The Icarus Vase Collection, handmade in Italy from terracotta, treats each vessel as a constructed architectural form, its surface marked by broad planar shifts and the mineral bloom that emerges through firing. The Scarab Mirror translates layered symbolism of transformation and renewal into a refined decorative object: a jute cord-wrapped iron frame with verdigris-finished accents.

"This collection marks a new chapter in a partnership built on shared conviction — that design should carry meaning beyond its function, and presence beyond its moment," says Citizen Artist co-owner and principal Rafael Kalichstein. Joshua Rose, his partner, adds: "The desert is not an abstraction for us; it is woven into our own histories, our own sense of where beauty comes from. Global Views brings an exceptional ability to realize ambitious ideas across materials and cultures, and that capacity is what allows us to keep pushing this work into deeper, more resonant territory."

This collaboration reflects a deep, shared commitment to material and narrative integrity. Each introduction has pushed the work further — bolder in concept, more refined in execution. Rooted in cultural references that range from sub-Saharan ritual to ancient desert civilizations and realized through the craft traditions of makers across Italy, Portugal, India, and beyond, the collection speaks directly to a design culture in the midst of expanding its frame of reference. It is work built for the editorial page and for the interior it will eventually inhabit.

"Citizen Artist x Global Views represents a meaningful design partnership, one that brings an artist-led point of view into our broader platform," said Satya Tiwari, President of Surya Inc., parent company of Global Views. "This collection extends that vision across categories, with pieces that are both expressive in form and grounded in craftsmanship."

Visit the Global Views showroom at IHFC D220 from April 24–29 to experience the collection firsthand and stop by for a launch celebration and meet-and-greet with Citizen Artist on Saturday, April 25 from 3–4 PM.
