IKEA Releases Long-Awaited Smart Home Items

The latest IKEA smart products are making their long-awaited debut in stores, from wildly popular lamps, to air-quality sensors and more, you can now get the latest smart wares at IKEA.

Since their debut just over three years ago, VARMBLIXT lamps have become the most talked-about lighting pieces, with the “Donut” variation sold once every 5 minutes in the U.S! Today, two VARMBLIXT items have gone smart, offering adjustable colors via remote or app.

Table lamp? Or wall lamp? You decide! Since the lamp can be placed on your table or it can also be mounted on the wall. Transform life at home with a remote control. Use the pre-paired remote control to dim your lamp and adjust between various colors.

You can use the DIRIGERA hub by IKEA and the IKEA Home smart app to match your lighting to the rhythm of the day, control multiple lamps as one – and let them switch on and off automatically so it looks like someone’s home when you’re away. If you already have a hub, this smart product uses the universal standard Matter, making it easy to install, operate and add to any other well-known systems.

The KALLSUP Bluetooth speakers made a splash at CES for being affordable (only $10!), portable, and powerful. They are now available for purchase in yellow-green, white and pink.

KALLSUP is a portable speaker that packs a lot of sound despite its small size (only 2 3/4” x 2 3/4” x 2 7/8”), and you can connect multiple speakers - and enjoy the same music from several speakers.

Thanks to the rechargeable battery, you can bring your music anywhere and listen for hours – no cords, no limits. When fully charged, the built-in battery gives you 9 hours of playing time at 50% volume.

The new IKEA GRILLPLATS smart plug, can change an ordinary lamp or household appliance to make it immediately smarter! Plug in and control from afar for $7.99. This plug also allows you to keep track of your power usage and adjust your daily routines to save energy.

Use the IKEA Home smart app, a remote control or a motion sensor to turn the plug on or off. You can connect up to 10 plugs to one remote control or motion sensor.

The IKEA ALPSTUGA air quality monitor can help to keep an eye on indoor air quality. It displays your air quality at home by measuring carbon dioxide (CO₂), particles (PM2.5), temperature and humidity – helping you make life at home smoother, more comfortable and safer.

The monitor is recommended to be used with one of the IKEA air purifiers. When it indicates that the air is poor, turn on the air purifier to improve the indoor air quality.

Place it in the living room, bedroom or other rooms where a lot of time is spent. The monitor can also be used as a clock. The ALPSTUGA retails for $29.99.
