Fairfield Launches Chaplain Program for Employee Well-Being

Fairfield has launched a workplace chaplain program, a new benefit designed to support the well-being of its employees and their families — a unique offering in the furniture industry.

Through the program, employees and their family members have access to chaplains who provide confidential support for navigating challenges such as stress, grief, family concerns, and major life transitions. The chaplains are non-denominational, ordained ministers trained to listen, offer guidance, and respect the beliefs of every individual. Participation is voluntary and permission-based, ensuring employees maintain full control over the nature and scope of their interactions. The program is offered at no cost and is entirely private.

Bilingual and English-speaking chaplains conduct weekly onsite visits and build relationships with employees. Team members can schedule one-on-one sessions with a chaplain to discuss concerns, explore options, or be connected with additional resources when needed. Chaplains are also available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide support whenever needed.

One employee shared, “I’ve worked in the furniture industry for over 49 years, and I’ve never been at a company that offers access to clergy like this. I think it’s wonderful because sometimes you just need someone to talk to or someone to pray for or with you.”

The initiative was first envisioned by Fairfield’s late Chairman of the Board, John Beall, whose dedication to caring for employees reflects the values that have guided the family-owned company for generations. “John Beall really wanted the chaplain program for Fairfield’s employees,” says Anne-Lindsay Beall, fourth-generation owner and Chairman of the Board. “He made people feel seen and heard. That’s always been important at Fairfield.”

Fairfield will host a prayer breakfast in its showroom during High Point Market on April 26, from 7:30 to 8:00 AM. The gathering will be led by a chaplain from the new program and is open to all market attendees.
