Artisan-crafted design is becoming a defining theme of 2026, and this spring, the conversation is centering on pieces that feel considered from the start — built from honest materials, finished with care, and designed to only get better with time. The new collaboration from contemporary Amish furniture brand Abner Henry and Palm Beach-based designer Helen Bergin speaks directly to that shift.
The 18-piece Helen Bergin Interiors for Abner Henry Collection is handcrafted to order in Ohio, rooted in Abner Henry’s Amish heritage of master American craftsmanship. Solid maple and oak are finished in layered dyes and low-sheen washes that reveal rather than conceal the natural wood grain. Warm metallic accents in brass, copper, and silver add quiet contrast, while every proportion and detail feels hand considered. The result is functional furniture with the presence of soft sculpture: grounded, enduring, and designed for both high-end residential interiors and design-forward hospitality spaces.
Informed by antique references from the 1940s, the collection balances Bergin’s signature personality-driven approach with the kind of refined craftsmanship her clients have come to expect. Standout pieces include the Zoe desk, which Bergin describes as "sophisticated and sassy," alongside a full range of airy, custom forms that bring lightness and character to both residential and hospitality settings. Each piece is built to order, ensuring no two are exactly alike.
The collection includes:
The Catalina Coffee Table – A piece that blends refined craftmanship with a soothing palette, creating a functional centerpiece that radiates a calm sophistication.
The Charlie Dining Table – Feels less like a piece of furniture and more like a functional monument—a serene anchor in a room, inviting conversation, creativity, or simply stillness.
The Cloe Stool – A versatile accent piece that brings a serene, modern sensibility to any interior.
The Elle Cabinet – It brings together craftsmanship and sculptural storytelling, a piece that feels as much like a design statement as it is a cabinet.
The Irie Dining Table – A dining table that is both understated and expressive—a contemporary silhouette elevated by thoughtful materiality and a quietly luxurious palette.
The Louie Side Chair – Finished in a low-sheen green paint, the chair exudes a calm, nature-inspired character—perfect for spaces that value personality, handcrafted detail, and a touch of storybook charm.
The Luna Nightstand – Every curve, every surface, every soft reflection speaks to craftsmanship refined into poetry—an object that doesn’t just sit beside a bed but elevates the atmosphere around it.
The Lyra Ottoman – A small piece of functional art—earthy yet elevated, grounded yet unexpectedly whimsical—perfect for spaces that celebrate texture, form, and a sense of crafted individuality.
The Martin Coffee Table – Minimalist yet warm, it becomes an anchor in any room—an understated sculpture that offers both utility and tranquil beauty.
The Mary Jane Bed – A bed that feels both artistic and serene—an eye-catching statement piece with a soothing, nature-inspired presence.
And many more artistic pieces for the dining room, hallway, bedroom, office, living room, or any space. It will be elevated by the design of this collection.
