Award-winning interior designer Kathleen Jennison, KTJ Design Co., is heading into the first quarter with new insights and innovative tools for What’s Next. Where design is headed, how she is embracing technology, and the benefits of using AI. In an effort to design smarter business and marketing strategies with tips for unlocking exponential growth.
“Heading into the new year, my (goal was) simple. I wanted to make beautiful decisions feel easier. Whether I am focusing on business development strategies, a luxury remodel, or giving my clients a fresh start, and how I can elevate their next chapter, with design solutions that fit their lifestyle,” shared Kathleen Jennison, principal and owner of KTJ Design Co., design studio and The Shoppe in Stockton, CA.
For Kathleen and her team at KTJ Design Co., elevating client experiences and making beautiful decisions feel easier is what luxury design is all about. One of the ways KTJ Design Co., is elevating what’s next is through AI technology. Kathleen confided that many of her fellow designers and clients have expressed that AI ‘makes design feel generic’ and she has found the opposite.
“When AI is used responsibly and creatively, it can free up your time for more personal touches and the high-touch parts of the design project that clients actually feel.” Kathleen expressed, “My goal is not to depend on the use of AI for everything I do. I don’t use AI to replace my design creativity. Clients want to be inspired and provide insights for creating beautiful spaces…This is why I use AI tools to streamline the work I create around design. It helps me move faster on early concepts, reduces the busywork, expands creativity and even tightens communication, so I can spend more time making thoughtful decisions for my clients.”
Another way KTJ Design Co., is creating inspiration in new, exciting, and innovative ways involves the launch of KTJ Collections: Rooms for a Fresh Start, a curated set of rooms and product resources with collections designed to make decision-making easier and more confident. These designer- curated rooms feature a variety of on-demand color palettes, with home furnishings and layout guidance already figured out, so clients can skip overthinking and get straight to enjoying their space.
KTJ Collections premiered in January with seven beautiful spaces, featuring a Collection of Dining and Living Rooms in a range of design styles and color palettes. With new collections for Outdoor Living and Bedrooms debuting in March, followed by Kitchens and Bath spaces coming this summer. “These curated collections will include furniture groupings, giving clients a clear, elevated path from inspiration to purchase-ready direction, and is designed to make great design feel more accessible, curated, cohesive, and ready to act on. Affiliate partnerships also help create inspiration for her clients with national brands. “I found that affiliate partnerships are one of the smartest ways designers, like me, can build steady, values-aligned passive income. In slower seasons, it also keeps momentum going without discounting services, and it creates a simple bridge between inspiration and action for clients and followers.”
Some of the affiliate programs she has worked with include Lowe’s Creative, LoomLan, LTK, and luxury mattress brand Saatva. For brands looking to offer their affiliate programs and products with KTJ Design Co., you may contact Kathleen by email: kathleen@ktjdesignco.com.
