IKEA U.S. Announces Grand Opening of IKEA Dallas – University Park

IKEA U.S. announces the grand opening of its newest store, IKEA Dallas – University Park, which will open to customers on March 11 at 10 a.m. CDT This new format store brings the affordable, functional and well-designed home furnishings offered by IKEA closer to the Dallas community in a smaller, convenient and inspiring shopping experience.
University Park marks the first of three new stores IKEA plans to open in Texas in 2026. This will be the eighth store in the Texas market, with two new stores opening soon in Rockwall and Webster, TX, for a total of 10 planned locations in the state.
“This new store is a great example of our commitment to making IKEA even more convenient and accessible. We’re excited to become part of this vibrant shopping district and look forward to meeting the needs of customers in the area,” said Rob Olson, Interim CEO of IKEA U.S.
Located at The Shops at Park Lane, the new two‑level IKEA store spans approximately 63,000 square feet. Designed to inspire, the store showcases signature IKEA room settings that help customers easily visualize solutions for their homes and spark new ideas.
More than 3,200 products will be available for immediate takeaway—bringing quick, easy access to IKEA essentials—along with the full product range, which can be ordered online for free store pickup or affordable home delivery. The store also brings a full Swedish food experience to the neighborhood, offering iconic favorites like meatballs, plant balls, hot dogs, and veggie dogs to enjoy in‑store or at home.

The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of IKEA Dallas-University Park on March 11. Festivities will kick off with exciting giveaways, coffee and cinnamon buns at 8 a.m., and doors will open to customers starting at 10 a.m. Regular store hours will be 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily.
IKEA is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience with a variety of customer meeting points and locations that complement each other and meet people's different needs. In addition to opening new stores, IKEA U.S. has made significant investments to enhance its e-commerce experience and service offerings, including new IKEA Family benefits, lower priced shipping and delivery, Click & collect, and TaskRabbit assembly services.
