Dallas Market Center Announces Expansion of Design Showrooms

Dallas Market Center today announced a dramatic expansion of the number of Design showrooms located inside its Interior Home + Design Center (IHDC). More than 100 brands, represented inside multiple showrooms, will move into custom spaces on the first and second floors of the building in the first half of 2026. This is the largest project for the development of new showrooms inside Dallas Market Center in more than a decade.
Construction has already begun on the first showroom, C. Maddox & Co., which represents more than thirty home furnishings brands. A custom 40,000 square foot flagship showroom on the second floor is expected to open in the spring. C. Maddox & Co. was previously located on the 9th floor of the World Trade Center and will be followed by additional showrooms relocating from the 9th floor, which will become flexible tradeshow space for events throughout the year. These companies will be joined by exhibitors joining the marketplace from outside Dallas Market Center. Brands represented by C Maddox & Co. include Caracole, CR Laine, Hancock and Moore, John Richard, Made Goods, Modern History, Taracea, Vanguard Furniture, Wesley Hall Upholstery, and others.
“These new showrooms underscore our commitment to the business of home décor, and these respected brands benefit from the steady traffic of an open-daily design center plus our market-time traffic throughout the year,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “As companies consider where to expand their business to reach more designers and retailers, the demand for permanent showroom space is at a premium. At the same time, our temporary tradeshow business continues to expand, and we will utilize the 9th floor for trade events throughout the year including ones serving the Design trade.”
This 2026 initiative follows the 2016 renovation and re-branding of the building as the Interior Home + Design Center. New showrooms opened their doors in 2016 and 2017 after the mid-century building underwent exterior and interior upgrades that stayed true to the building’s iconic style while creating a more efficient and stylish modern environment.
The building features open-daily corporate showrooms from brands including Visual Comfort, Currey & Co, Surya, Palecek, Global Views, Uttermost, Unique Loom, and American Leather, among others, along with multi-brand showrooms like Coco & Dash representing Chaddock Furniture, J Wilkenson Chair, Coco & Dash Heritage, Matouk, and others; and MC Studio representing Bernhardt Interiors, Norwalk Furniture, Fabricut, Tomlinson, Vahallan, Ann Gish, Regina Andrew Detroit, and others. Nearby, shared showroom The Gallery represents more than a dozen home décor companies including Port 68, Alicia Adams Alpaca, and Amity Home; and the newly opened Textile Salon represents fabrics, window coverings, rugs, pillows, wallpapers, and surfaces including Kravet, English Village Lane, Prince of Scots.
The iconic Interior Home + Design Center building, which first opened in 1957 as The Home Furnishings Mart, now features large front windows and exterior doors opening directly to hundreds of front door parking spaces; an extended front porte cochère with valet parking; and a large reception and registration area.
Dallas Market Center is the largest and most successful open-daily design center in the U.S. More interior designers visit Dallas Market Center, and more home décor brands are represented, than any other market center or design center. Showrooms across three buildings, The Interior Home + Design Center, the World Trade Center, and the Trade Mart, currently serve buyers each month from a discerning design community actively seeking resources for residential and commercial projects across the U.S. and Latin America. In addition, Dallas Market Center hosts a full calendar of design events throughout the year in partnership with organizations including ASID (American Society of Interior Design), TAID (Texas Association of Interior Design), and the Interior Design Society. The national ASID conference, GATHER: Catalyst, is taking place inside Dallas Market Center in September of this year.
Dallas has long been a center of interior design, beginning in the 1950’s with the strategic development of showroom buildings throughout the market center and design district neighborhoods by the founder of Dallas Market Center, Trammell Crow. Currently, the city is leading a regional building boom as more homeowners and more businesses move to a part of the country with lower business costs and higher opportunities for success. In addition, the number of interior designers and top firms for interior design, hospitality design, and architecture, continues to grow. Subsequently, Dallas Market Center is serving more retail and interior design customers.
Upcoming trade events at Dallas Market Center include Design Days, April 14-15; Total Home & Gift Market, June 24-30; Lightovation, June 24-27; and Design + Build Day at Lightovation, June 23.
