Floating Ninfee Premiers from Giovanni Botticelli & Paola Paronetto

Unveiled in a world premiere at the January 2026 edition of Maison&Objet, Giovanni Botticelli and Paola Paronetto present Floating Ninfee — the latest outcome of their collaboration and the fourth chapter of the Reflections collection — a large-scale decorative system designed to meet the needs of complex, highly customized interiors, ranging from high-end residential spaces to the contract and hospitality sectors.

Floating Ninfee marks a new development in the dialogue between the two designers, bringing Reflections to a broader, more monumental and sculptural scale, conceived for large-scale interior projects. The collection expands its spatial presence while preserving its poetic dimension and reinforcing its architectural and decorative character.

The compositions engage with complex environments, becoming central elements capable of defining walls and atmospheres. Available in wall-mounted and tabletop versions, the surfaces can reach a maximum extension of 98.4 inches (250 cm) and are fully customizable in shape and arrangement.

From a design perspective, Floating Ninfee stems from the encounter between large glass or mirrored surfaces—neutral or colored, a distinctive hallmark of Giovanni Botticelli’s work—and the ceramic water lily elements crafted by Paola Paronetto.

Giovanni Botticelli draws inspiration from the pictorial imagery of Claude Monet, referencing the Japanese garden in Giverny and the Nymphéas at the Musée de l’Orangerie. This influence—interwoven with memory, travel and contemplation—is translated into a contemporary reinterpretation of the water lily motif, suspended between water and light, reflection and color.

The forms appear to float and multiply, generating visual depth and a constantly evolving perceptual interplay in which light, color and material engage in dialogue. The result is a collection that moves beyond the idea of a decorative object to approach that of an installation, conceived for contemporary interiors balanced between art, design and architecture.
