Ashley Announces “Delivering Dreams” Prize in Houston

Ashley, the largest furniture store brand in North America, announced the conclusion of its second annual Delivering Dreams initiative, a community-driven program that invited Houston residents to nominate themselves or others for a complete home furniture makeover. Last month, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud and content creator Zachery Dereniowski surprised Ashly Scott-Jones with the grand prize at her home in South Houston.
Jones, who received nearly 30 nominations on her behalf, has been recognized as a true pillar of her community—an inspiring woman whose compassion and dedication have positively impacted those around her.
“I’ve loved hearing Ashly’s story. She’s made a big impact on so many individuals and families around her,” said C.J. Stroud. “I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with Ashley to serve the people who make Houston so special.”
Over the course of the campaign, Houston community members submitted heartfelt nominations sharing stories of resilience, hope, and inspiration. A judging panel comprised of Ashley representatives, Stroud, and Dereniowski carefully reviewed the entries before selecting Scott-Jones as the 2025 grand prize recipient.
“I became a first-time homeowner last month, and while it’s a major milestone, it can also be overwhelming,” said Jones, alongside her husband Derrick. “This experience has changed our lives, and I can’t thank Ashley enough for bringing this program to our community.”
In addition to the grand prize, five runners-up received an exclusive Delivering Dreams gift pack including Texans merchandise, tickets to a home game, and $500 in Ashley in-store credit. Ashley has also partnered with The C.J. Stroud Foundation, lead by C.J.’s mom, Kimberly Stroud, to bless additional families in need with furniture donations valued at $50,000.
“I’m grateful to partner with Ashley to make a difference right here in Houston. Everyone deserves a comfortable place to call home, and this initiative is helping make that possible for families who truly deserve it,” said Dereniowski. “It’s always a privilege to use my platform to serve others.”
Ashley’s Delivering Dreams initiative is rooted in the brand’s core pillars of style, value, and purpose, reflecting its long-standing commitment to supporting the communities it serves. In its inaugural year, Ashley partnered with Saints linebacker Demario Davis to award a complete home furniture makeover in New Orleans. The brand plans to continue the program in the years to follow.
