Common Thread for the Cure is the Organization That Keeps on Giving

While Giving Tuesday is past, there are organizations that deserve our attention year-round, and Common Thread for the Cure is one that helps those in the industry who are battling breast cancer. So, while yesterday may have been Giving Tuesday, throughout the year, this organization is worth supporting whether it’s a day designated for giving or just another day of the year.

If you know someone affiliated with the furnishings and design industries who is currently battling breast cancer, tell them about The Common Thread for the Cure and their grants.

Other ways to support the organization include purchasing year-round sponsors’ designated products that benefit the foundation. Some of those companies include Crossville Tile, Indiana Furniture, Mayer Fabrics, Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering, Spectra Home, and Versteel.

There are industry fundraising events hosted throughout the year where you can sponsor or volunteer, or simply attend to show your support. These events are held throughout the United States. Companies can also support The Common Thread for the Cure through financial contributions, sponsorship, or a fundraising event. Various workplaces could get involved by participating in matching gifts or fundraising.

Helping to spread awareness about The Common Thread for the Cure to friends, co-workers, and companies within the furnishings and design industries will help the cause as well. The more people who know about the great work that is being done, the more people that can be helped.

Also, don’t forget to sign-up for The Common Thread’s newsletter to stay informed about their work in the industry and opportunities to serve and support this organization.

As one recipient from North Carolina commented, “The kindness of strangers amazes me through this journey. You should be very proud of what you are doing – it has helped me start to get my feet back under me.”

Your generous support can make a difference in someone's life. Your donation helps The Common Thread for the Cure provide grants to those persons or their families within the furnishings and design industries who are fighting breast cancer. Contributions may be made safely online or via check by mail.
