Giorgetti Participates in Event That Brings Continents Together

From 26 to 28 November 2025, Giorgetti will take part in “Red in progress. Salone del Mobile.Milano meets Riyadh,” an event that anticipates the debut of the Salone in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2026.

The event takes place in the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, the vital point of the country’s innovation and urban transformation. The initiative – developed in strategic partnership with the Saudi Architecture & Design Commission – brings to the Saudi capital a large immersive installation designed by the Giò Forma architecture studio, a rich cultural program, and a B2B platform dedicated to fostering dialogue between Made in Italy and key figures in Saudi architecture and design, within the framework of the development goals outlined in Vision 2030.

Within the installation designed by Giò Forma – a landscape of modular scaffolding covered with a semi-transparent red fabric that transforms the raw language of a construction site into a cultural stage – Giorgetti presents three of its icons: the celebrated MOVE rocking chair, the HUG armchair, both designed by Rossella Pugliatti, and TYCOON executive desk by Roberto Lazzeroni.

These pieces embody one of the defining elements of the company’s DNA: the perfect balance between fine cabinetmaking and technological innovation.

Move is the result of an extensive research process on the mechanics of solid bodies. It is inspired by the organic shapes that wood naturally assumes, reinterpreting them through Giorgetti’s tradition of fine cabinetmaking. This seat owes its remarkable complexity to a double frame with an organic, interlaced form, composed of 31 solid ash elements, each with a different section.

The first structure houses the padded seat and backrest, while the second supports them both and enables the rocking motion. The lightness of the curved components and their dynamic lines give the piece a unique and unparalleled beauty.

Hug is born from the encounter between a wooden skeleton and a soft padding that offers unparalleled comfort. The frame, crafted from solid Canaletto walnut, is a fine cabinetmaking piece expertly assembled by Giorgetti’s artisans. As its name suggests, the backrest embraces and envelops the body like a hug.

Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, Tycoon is an executive desk distinguished by an aesthetic that is both rigorous and soft, featuring enveloping lines and a refined geometric decoration that enhances the work surface. The structure is crafted from maple wood, enriched with India rosewood inserts and leather upholstery, while the bronze-colored painted metal details with a natural effect complete an ensemble of exceptional material quality.

The version with a side extension, available on either the right or left, adds further functionality and comfort, transforming the executive environment into a harmonious and welcoming space. Tycoon also offers intelligent, integrated solutions: four drawers, a central pull-out tray, open storage compartments and two power outlets designed to keep order and technology perfectly streamlined. Functional, sophisticated and iconic, Tycoon is not just a desk - it is a statement of style.

The participation in the event confirms the strategic importance of this market for Giorgetti, which will open its first monobrand store in Dubai at the beginning of 2026, in a building specifically designed for the brand by Pritzker Prize winner Richard Meier and operated by the local partner Atelio, the design division of Vivium.

This opening will be followed by a new company-owned monobrand in Riyadh, further demonstrating the brand’s growing presence in the Middle East.
