MLILY Celebrates Milestone with Special Spaces at 2,000 Transformations

MLILY USA celebrated an important philanthropic milestone with long-standing partner Special Spaces, the national nonprofit dedicated to creating dream bedroom makeovers for children with cancer. At the Special Spaces annual gala earlier this month where MLILY was a sponsor, the organization marked 2,000 completed bedroom transformations.
Since 2021, MLILY has supported Special Spaces by providing mattresses and sleep products that help create comfortable, healing environments for children ages 2–19 who are undergoing cancer treatment. In continuation of that commitment, MLILY has pledged support through 2026 to ensure to provide mattresses for every Special Spaces makeover. In addition, a portion of sales from designated MLILY products will be donated to the nonprofit. This initiative reflects MLILY USA’s belief in giving back to programs that are near and dear to the MLILY family.
“Reaching 2,000 dream bedrooms is an extraordinary achievement, and we’re honored to play a part in bringing comfort and joy to these incredible children,” said Derek Leishman, national sales director, MLILY USA. “Our partnership with Special Spaces gives us the opportunity to support families during some of the toughest moments of their lives, and we’re proud to help create peaceful, restorative sleep environments.”
Founded in 2004, Special Spaces completes each makeover in a single day, transforming children’s bedrooms into thoughtfully personalized retreats designed to inspire hope, healing, and comfort. The organization’s 2,000-makeover milestone represents thousands of families impacted and millions of dollars in donated labor, materials, and resources contributed by volunteers and partners across the country.
