The RW Collective, recognized as the go-to, to-the-trade resource among designers and retailers, is expanding its growing product category portfolio once again at the Fall High Point Market with a full line of decorative accessories.
The launch—featuring handcrafted resin tabletop pieces and bold, minimalist wall art—marks another key product category available inside The RW Collective’s showroom located at 156 S. Main St., High Point. The new additions continue the company’s goal of creating a true, whole home, one-stop shop for both retailers and interior designers.
Encompassing both resin tabletop and wall art, the product introductions offer an artisanal blend of organic, earthy textures, and reflect the elevated aesthetic for which The RW Collective family of home furnishings brands is known.
Sharlene Boyle, product designer for the Beyond Borders brand, created the new program.
The new polymer resin tabletop collection features six unique styles with suggested retails ranging from $27 (a small bowl), to $360 (a set of three larger bowls).
All of the sku’s are crafted using 100-percent Indonesian resin, sourced from trees in local villages., The resin has passed all required laboratory safety tests, making the pieces appropriate for use both as decorative objects and as dinnerware.
“The new resin pieces introduce both texture and visual interest to a space with an earthy, organic appeal,” said Boyle.
The designer added that the unique pieces are produced by talented Indonesian craftspeople who create a master sample, and then carefully pour the resin into a silicone mold to cure. The process is followed by the application of two distinctive finishes, swirled together to create a translucent organic effect. Some of the designs feature a decorative rim of synthetic rattan woven around the edge.
In addition to the resin tabletop products, The RW Collective’s new three-dimensional wall art collection features 13 styles, with suggested retail prices from $264 to $474. Ranging in size 16” x 20” to 33” x 47,” the wall art is sourced from Java, Boreno and the Sumatra islands and incorporates natural elements such as jute and water hyacinth. As example, the Nelson is made with teak wood veneer, jute and corn husks. The Dylan features teak wood veneer and wooden bark.
Boyle said creation of the wall art pieces is a labor-intensive process, with the team of craftspeople working to ensure every cut and fold is crafted with accuracy and precision craftmanship to create bold, minimalistic designs.
“Every masterpiece starts with a precision cut,” she said.
