American Leather Hosts “Designing at a Distance” at HPMKT

American Leather will host a discussion with five design innovators who will share how professional interior design firms can successfully expand their reach beyond geographic boundaries.

“Designing At A Distance: Turning Location into Limitless Opportunity” will bring together leading voices in interior design to discuss how they have built thriving practices serving clients across the country—and in some cases, around the globe. The event will be held Oct 26, at 3 p.m. in the American Leather showroom, Showplace 5000.

From cultivating local partnerships to managing logistics and sustaining a strong brand presence, the panelists will reveal the strategies and insights that allow them to transform distance into a growth opportunity. Attendees will learn how to approach out-of-market projects with confidence, efficiency, and creativity.

Moderator:
Leading the discussion is design icon and author, Barry Dixon, whose projects span the globe in both geography and style. Dixon imagines interiors that infuse artifacts and antiques with present-day motifs—all preserving the history and personality of the home's owners and their treasures.

Panelists are:

- Dwayne Bergmann—Founder and principal of Dwayne Bergmann Interiors, based in Fort Myers, FL, Bergmann is known for his bold, sophisticated designs that blend functionality with timeless beauty. With projects spanning the U.S. and abroad, his firm has mastered the art of translating a client’s vision into reality regardless of location.

- Bria Hammel—As CEO and Creative Director of Bria Hammel Interiors, Hammel leads a nationally recognized firm specializing in livable luxury. Her approachable yet refined aesthetic has earned her projects coast to coast, as well as a devoted following through her lifestyle brand, Brooke & Lou.

“High Point Market is where the design community gathers to share ideas and inspiration,” said Lance Trachier, American Leather’s creative director. “This panel highlights the evolving ways designers are meeting client needs, wherever those clients may be.”
