Planned Furniture Promotions is raising the bar on High Point Market fun with an Oktoberfest-themed party on Oct 24, from 5-9p.m. The free outdoor event at 212 E. Russell Ave. promises food, drinks, games, and plenty of industry camaraderie – all in support of City of Hope.
The PFP building and patio will be transformed into an Oktoberfest Wunderland, setting the stage for an evening filled with lively contests and authentic German-inspired fare. Guests can join in beer pong, test their endurance in the stein-holding contest, or try their luck at the pretzel toss, with make-your-own pretzel necklaces adding to the fun. Traditional fare will be served, including sausages and sauerkraut from a local vendor, with beer on tap to round out the celebration. Attendees can also take home a free commemorative Oktoberfest glass mug, available while supplies last.
In addition to the evening festivities, PFP will host a “Hang On for Hope” challenge that will run all day Friday, inviting marketgoers to see how long they can hang on to a steel bar. For every second participants hold on, PFP will donate $1 to City of Hope, turning strength into direct support for the cause.
“High Point Market is about building relationships, and our parties have become a tradition that brings the industry together in a fun way while giving back to a cause we all care about,” said Tom Liddell, senior vice president of PFP. “We’re proud to support City of Hope and the lifesaving work they do.”
The Oktoberfest party is free and open to all market attendees. Guests are encouraged to stop by throughout the day to participate in the hanging bar challenge and then return at 5 p.m. when the festivities kick off under the tent.
