Karat Home Relaunches Z Gallerie Brand at HPMKT

Karat Home is relaunching the iconic Z Gallerie brand, known for its whole-home, modern glamor aesthetic at the High Point Fall Furniture Market. The company plans to open its first store in Dallas before year’s end, and then four more over the next three to five years.

The relaunch centers on 1,500 newly designed sku’s, created by Karat Homes’s 40-person in-house design team, blending the brand’s legacy of eclectic style with modern business practices and consumer insights.

Z Gallerie was founded in 1979 as a poster shop in California and evolved into a more than 100 store chain featuring a full line of highly designed, better quality home furnishings for every room. Z Gallerie was acquired through the bankruptcy process in January of 2024 by Karat Home with a plan to restore the brand to its former luster.

At the High Point Market, Z Gallerie will showcase its new product line and introduce a new interior design trade partner program that caters to the needs of this industry segment at its 135 South Main Street (Suite 121) location.

“The purchase of Z Gallerie has been a passion project—modernizing the business while staying true to the vision of making every day glamorous, one room at a time,” said Karat Home/Z Gallerie CEO Scarlett Fan. “This relaunch celebrates both our design expertise and our commitment to bringing Z Gallerie’s spirit back to life.”

Fan said the initial buzz around the launch has been very encouraging.

“The re-launch of the Z Gallerie brand harnesses our expertise in product design, manufacturing and data intelligence to meet the needs of the retail customer, still a significant segment of the industry,” she added.

Inside its High Point Market showroom, Karat Home will introduce 56 new sku’s, including Z Gallerie exclusives designed to capture the brand’s signature glamour and modern innovation. Among the Z Gallerie exclusive designs to watch for are the Stria Buffet, with a sculptural reeded façade and softly curved silhouette built from oak solids and veneers. Stria Dining Chairs are upholstered in soft velvet with a refined hand and feature handcrafted solid oak bases.

Another standout, the Silex Dining Table combines the elegance of natural marble with the resilience of advanced materials. Made from ultra-rigid fiber concrete, its surface is finished with hyper-realistic water transfer printing that mirrors the dramatic veining of white marble—delivering the beauty of stone without the weight, fragility, or upkeep. Sixty percent lighter than solid marble, the fiber concrete core allows for a sweeping 94.5-inch span without visible structural support.
