Fromental's new printed wallpaper collection, Papier Chinois, brings their renowned hand-painted silk craftsmanship to a wider audience through state-of-the-art digital printing that preserves every brushstroke and texture of the original artworks.
Each design begins as a hand-painted silk panel requiring up to 50 hours of skilled artistry before being meticulously scanned and digitally refined, offering the luxury of Fromental's signature Chinoiserie aesthetic with significantly reduced lead times.
The collection features versatile bird and flower compositions in multiple heights and colorways, allowing designers to achieve the timeless elegance of hand-painted wallpaper while meeting today's demanding project deadlines.
The core collection of cushions features Scales, inspired by Gustav Klimt and the Vienna Secession, and Metropolis, a geometric form with crackled texture (sold in pairs). The limited-edition collection features Damask, made with upcycled remnants of their Bonaparte velvet; Greek Key (large and small sizes), inspired by fashion illustrator Christian Berard; Calacatta, inspired by its namesake marble; and Plucked Leaf, a botanical motif with contrasting velvet textures. Designed to adorn couches, chairs, or beds, each pillow is made from 100% merino wool and velvet, with prices starting at $525.
The framed artwork focuses on their best sellers - Prunus and Nonsuch. Each is framed by hand by Tim's brother, Guy, in a beautiful farm in Hertfordshire, UK (video here). The Prunus pieces come as the wallcoverings do, with hand-painted and hand-embroidered details, while with Nonsuch, you have the option of either hand-painted or hand-painted and hand-embroidered.
Perfect for those looking to have a statement moment on their wall and to have a piece of beautiful artwork that is as detailed and crafted as Fromental's wallcoverings are. Prices start at $2,025, come in various sizes, and can be purchased as a single, pair, or triptych.
Fromental’s new e-commerce site allows users to seamlessly shop for Fromental wallpapers and accessories, while exploring more about the brand, different projects, and of course browsing their extensive collection of bespoke wallcoverings.
While these products make Fromental a more accessible brand than before, they are still highly dedicated to running this new arm of the business with thoughtful, inspired designs that are hand-made and high-quality. A true extension of their core business, with each piece bringing their signature sophistication to your space.
