King Koil said that it more than doubled the number of retailer visits to its showroom at the recent Summer Las Vegas Market over last year, citing dealers looking for higher margin luxury product and interest in the brand’s new Drew & Jonathan Home by King Koil and Scott Living by King Koil mattress collections.
“With fewer customers coming through their doors, retailers are adding more luxury offerings to their showroom floors to improve overall margin performance in their businesses. Over the past seven months, the number of new slots and dealers we have signed has been robust. This past market the traffic was great and exceeded our expectations,” said King Koil CEO David Binke. “The new Scott Brothers program was also a big contributor to our jump in traffic. There is a lot of interest in this brand right now.”
King Koil recently signed a licensing agreement with Scott Brothers Global (SBG) to develop mattresses under its home furnishing and improvement brands founded by Property Brothers hosts, Drew and Jonathan Scott. Within days of signing the deal, King Koil launched an initial collection of six mattresses in a range of comfort feels that incorporate premium components, priced between $1,499 and $2,999 in queen at retail.
Binke added that beyond the Scott Brothers program, dealers showed increased interest in many of its legacy and concept products it showed at market.
“I would say that overall, there was really strong interest in all our products. We are now offering a diverse product mix that appeals to a broader range within the luxury space,” he said.
