The Interior Design Society (IDS) – DFW Chapter has partnered with Pathways Youth and Family Services to launch “From Leadership with Love,” a heartfelt community initiative aimed at redesigning home spaces for foster families across Texas.
This initiative brings together design leaders, industry sponsors, and past IDS DFW Chapter presidents to create environments that foster not only beauty and comfort, but also healing, dignity, and connection.
Since its founding in 1992, Pathways Youth and Family Services has helped over 11,000 children through foster care and adoption services, placing more than 4,000 with forever families. The organization’s trauma-informed approach addresses the emotional and behavioral needs of children removed from unsafe environments.
With support from IDS National and sponsors such as Surya and Global Views, each participating designer is assigned a unique home to redesign, incorporating both professional expertise and personal care to transform lives through intentional design.
The four Past Presidents leading the initiative have long served IDS at both the local and national level. This project extends their legacy in a deeply meaningful way—by creating safe, personalized spaces for families in need.
These past presidents and their teams have poured countless hours into IDS locally and nationally: Michael Bauer, Director of Trade Relations, Feizy Rugs; Lori Withey, Founder & Principal Interior Designer of Bellisa Design; Linda Baker, President and Founder, Baker Design Group; and Nicole Arnold, President and Founder, Nicole Arnold Interiors.
“From Leadership with Love” embodies the heart of IDS: where design meets purpose, and where leadership is measured not just by projects completed, but by lives touched.
