Meridian Furniture Sees Rise in Outdoor Furniture Options

Meridian Furniture, a fast-growing furniture brand of affordably priced, high-quality designs, said its seeing a rise in sales of low-maintenance outdoor furniture options with upscale looks-for-less.
According to President Michael Rosilio, at a time when many consumers are cautious about big-ticket spends, Meridian’s outdoor collections are helping independent furniture retailers strike an ideal balance between the mass market goods found in every big-box home-improvement retailer and the more upscale (and expensive) designs offered by casual furniture specialty stores. The company’s reliable in-stock position, fast delivery and easy ordering process also makes it easy for designers to complete their projects with trend-right products that excite their clients at competitive prices, while delivering in time for summer use.
“Our retailers are getting more door swings from consumers willing to spend a few dollars more on stylish, low maintenance outdoor collections that will last for more than one season. They are skipping the big box for a quality experience in a showroom with knowledgeable RSAs, looks for less and better service that comes from an established dealer,” said Rosilio.
Customer favorites this season include the San Pietro chair (suggested retail $899), which offers comfortable seating with sophisticated European-inspired flair. Combining woven polypropylene detailing and waterproof seat cushions, its natural aluminum teak frame is built to withstand the elements.
Also designed for long-term use, the comfortable Newport loveseat features quick-drying foam for lasting support even in damp conditions and a Thermowood-treated frame built to withstand the elements without compromising style (suggested retail $1,299).
“We offer stylish, well-made outdoor furniture that delivers exceptional value and great style that is easy to live with,” said Mitch Hodges, vice president of sales.
As example, the executive pointed to smart finishes like aluminum designed to look like teak that eliminate the maintenance headaches of teak wood frames which require regular cleaning and oiling to maintain their looks and durability. “Most homeowners today want to spend more time enjoying their outdoor spaces without that kind of hassle,” Hodges said.
Another of the season’s best-sellers, the Cosenza dining table is a statement-making piece crafted in premium marble-look concrete with a polished finish. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, its durable construction ensures longevity and flexibility for entertaining, dining or everyday living, and its smooth surface is easy to clean and maintain, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. Available in a range of rich colors, including black, white, green and brown, the Cosenza complements a variety of design styles, from minimalist modern to rustic chic (suggested retail $850).
Other standout indoor-outdoor models include the Tivoli coffee table, an elegant design with smooth curves, a generously sized tabletop and a sophisticated water-transfer concrete finish that mimics natural travertine (suggested retail: $1,299). The Sassari coffee table meanwhile (suggested retail $650), is available in a choice of marble finishes, as well as classic travertine. Again, high-quality materials ensure durability and resistance to everyday wear, making it an ideal centerpiece for a variety of living environments, from cozy lounges to lively patios.
Coordinating with a wide range of color and design schemes, the Amalfi patio umbrella (suggest retail $650) is another summer 2025 hit, with a teak-finish steel base and a rust-resistant aluminum frame, combined with a smooth crank lift and a tilt function for adjustable shade throughout the day. Its water- and fade-resistant canopy withstands sun, rain and wind, and is designed to maintain its look season after season.
