Industry veteran Ron Bruneau has rejoined leading mattress manufacturer King Koil as senior vice president of operations.
With more than two decades of experience in the mattress industry, Bruneau previously oversaw the implementation of the company’s domestic manufacturing strategy during its critical move to Arizona. He took a four-year hiatus to become chief operating officer of Kickstart Motorsports, where he transformed and scaled start-up operations, optimizing precision manufacturing and distribution for the automotive parts and accessories business.
Previously, he served as chief operating officer of E.S. Kluft & Company for seven years and was recruited by the founder to lead the company through a major operational turnaround and prepare it for sale. Prior to this, he also spent 13 years at Talalay Global, where he directed large-scale operational improvements as senior director and general manager.
“Ron and I have had a very long, successful relationship over the years, having worked together twice before,” said David Binke, chief executive officer of King Koil. “He is a true professional, a results-oriented executive with extensive experience leading multi-site manufacturing operations and scaling businesses.”
According to Binke, in addition to being an expert in supply chain optimization and inventory management, “Bruneau is focused on all the right things and gets a lot of respect from the people who report to him.”
For his part, Bruneau said returning to lead operations at King Koil “is like coming home to a family, with an executive team that I’ve relationships with for at least 15 years in various roles, from vendor to customer. And, I’m coming home to a place where I know I can make an impact in efficiency and growth, while underpinning King Koil’s reputation for superior quality.”
Bruneau holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University in Flint Michigan, and an MBA in Marketing from the California State University College of Business and Economics.
He replaces Don Pflug who left the company earlier this year.
