DutchCrafters Plans Events to Celebrate Amish Craftsmanship

DutchCrafters Amish Furniture, the leading retailer of American-made Amish furniture at www.dutchcrafters.com, will host a special day of events Wednesday, June 11 in its Sarasota Showroom, celebrating the skill and story behind its handcrafted furniture.

The day includes two opportunities to engage with an Amish craftsman representing one of DutchCrafters’ top partner woodshops, a meet-and-greet in the afternoon followed by a designer-focused networking gathering in the evening.

Amish Woodworker Meet-and-Greet

The public is invited to a meet-and-greet with an Amish woodworker from noon to 2 p.m. at the DutchCrafters Sarasota Showroom. This free event offers the rare chance to meet one of the artisans behind DutchCrafters’ best-selling chair designs.

Guests can explore handcrafted collections, ask questions about woodworking techniques, and hear how time-honored methods influence each piece. Light bites and beverages will be served in a relaxed, come-and-go setting.

The DutchCrafters Sarasota Showroom is located at 3709 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34234. No RSVP is required.

Tree to Table: A Designer Mingle

From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., DutchCrafters and the Interior Design Society (IDS) of Sarasota will host a networking event for interior designers and industry professionals. This exclusive gathering will foster conversation, inspiration and connection within the design community.

Kari-Jo Koshes, operations director at DutchCrafters and vice president of IDS Sarasota, will host the event on behalf of DutchCrafters. The evening includes a presentation by the visiting Amish artisan, who will share insight into his craft and the values that guide each handmade piece.

Attendees will enjoy handcrafted cocktails, light bites, and a showroom filled with high-end, American-made furniture tailored to today’s clients. Raffle prizes and networking opportunities will round out the evening.

“As more clients seek American-made furnishings with true craftsmanship, this is a valuable chance for design professionals to connect with a trusted source for quality and customization,” said Koshes.

Space is limited. RSVP by June 4 to karijo@dutchcrafters.com to attend the IDS event.
