At the spring Market, Spectra Home celebrated being named Best Accent Chair Supplier and the Best Upholstery Supplier by inviting showroom visitors to review three of their top-selling accent chairs and vote for their favorite one in the Great Accent Chair Challenge. It was a close race, but the Leo Chair from the Tamara Day by Spectra Home collection won, with the Meyer Chair from the same collection a very close second. The Spectra Home Walker chair was also a top pick, coming in third place. Spectra Home donated to The Common Thread for The Cure Foundation for every ballot received.
Market visitors agreed that Leo was their favorite because of its “clean lines and gorgeous luxury fabric.” Another voter added that the antique brass metal frame was a refreshing bonus. A close second, the Meyer chair stood out because, as one voter said, the brass arm accents “added something functional and unexpected.”
The mix of brass and wood, along with comfort, also resonated with showroom voters. On the other hand, the Walker chair was loved for its classic “timeless style with a modern touch” and its comfort.
“I want to thank everyone who voted for their favorite accent chair,” stated Jim Telleysh, president of Spectra Home. “I was happy but not surprised that Leo was the winner. It is one of our best sellers, along with the Meyer chair. The Common Thread for The Cure Foundation was the real winner because we donated to them for every accent chair entry received in the Great Accent Chair Challenge.”
The Common Thread for The Cure Foundation supports individuals fighting breast cancer affiliated with the design and furnishings industry by offering financial assistance through confidential grants. These grants aim to enhance the quality of life and can be used to cover any financial obligations, household needs, and transportation to medical appointments. “To help more, we are also donating a portion of the proceeds from the Tamara Day by Spectra Home collection to the Foundation. We hope that our support will ease the burden that families are experiencing,” Telleysh concluded.
