Coddle, Viral Furniture Brand, Announces Best Summer Intern Idea Ever

This summer, one lucky lounger will have the opportunity to turn sofa sprawling into a paid gig. Coddle, the viral furniture brand known for smart, stylish, and adaptable designs, is launching its first-ever search for its Coddled Intern: a once-in-a-lifetime summer internship designed entirely around lounging, napping, and snacking. The role comes with a $10,000 award, choice of a Coddle sleeper sofa to keep, and the kind of bragging rights that only come from becoming the most well-rested person on the internet.
"Summer internship season brings stress and scramble," said Ana Arun, CEO at Coddle. "We figured it was time someone got paid to actually sit on the couch all summer—no guilt trips required."
While other internships focus on pushing you out of your comfort zone, this opportunity promises the opposite. As the brand's first Rest & Digest Fellow, the selected intern will spend the summer reclining on a selection of Coddle sleeper sofas delivered straight to their "office" for reviewing, creating cozy content, and achieving peak relaxation—all while representing the brand as the face of comfort across its social media channels.
Key responsibilities include:
Master the fine art of lounging like it's your job—because it is
Strategic power napping to optimize energy for more lounging
Become the leader in snacking frequently (yes, crumbs and spills allowed)
Creating low-key content that screams "I peaked this summer"
Upholding a strict life/lounge balance
Who Should Apply
The 8-week internship is open to anyone 21 or older, located in the 48 contiguous states and D.C, with WiFi, a knack for binge-watching, and the confidence to go viral in sweatpants. Prior experience with nesting, napping, or being chronically online is a bonus but not required. The role includes creating content for Coddle's social channels from the comfort of your very own sofa.
"We're looking for someone with the spirit of an intern—curious, candid, and ready to take our sleeper sofas for a real-life spin. Whether you're a student, recent grad, career shifter, or just someone who takes sleep seriously, we want your honest take," said Arun.
