Good's Furniture & Mattress Receives Flexsteel "Gallery of the Year” Award

Good’s Furniture & Mattress has been providing the Midwest with high quality products for over 130 years. The family-owned business has recently been selected to receive the coveted Flexsteel “Gallery of the Year” award. This award is presented to regional top-performing Flexsteel dealers who demonstrate excellence in sales, customer service, and presentation of their products. Only three businesses are selected out of a pool of about 1,400.
“It was quite a surprise, our team thought it was really cool,” said Phil Good, fourth generation owner of Good’s Furniture & Mattress. “Everybody had a hand in making it all happen, not just the person on the sales design side, but the whole picture. Our partnership works extremely well with Flexsteel because we’re important to them and they’re very important to us.”
Good credits this win to not only his team, but the relationships they’ve all been able to build with Flexsteel throughout their partnership, specifically with their sales representative, Marty Lambe.
“Marty is truly the captain of the ship,” said Good. “Without his guidance and training, none of this would be happening. He’s a one-of-a-kind person and representative of the company. As the industry has evolved, this partnership has been so relational. It's furniture, but it's not. It's really about the relationships beyond the products that make it a success. Flexsteel is innovative and has continued to grow. They’ve overcome every challenge our industry has faced on the offense and having them be such a key vendor of ours is very, very important to us.”
David Patterson, Flexsteel’s Regional Vice President of Sales, said the decision to choose Good’s Furniture for this specific honor was easy.

Good’s Furniture & Mattress has carried Flexsteel’s premium products in their store for over 20 years. The partnership has many future projects coming up, including a refresh of the current gallery within the next few months.
