IKEA U.S. announced the appointment of two new agency partners following a comprehensive creative agency review beginning in January. Starting on September 1, 2025, DAVID, New York will serve as the new IKEA U.S. creative agency of record, while alma will become the multicultural agency of record. This strategic decision aligns with the company’s ongoing transformation and growth initiatives in the U.S. market.
“As we enter our 40th year in the U.S., we are looking at the impact we have made in this market, and are excited to share our new partners who will continue on our journey to help create a better everyday life for the many people,” said Shideh Hashemi, Country Marketing Manager at IKEA U.S. “Both DAVID New York and alma expertise will help us better connect with and serve our diverse customer base. Their innovative approaches will enhance the IKEA brand presence and drive impactful campaigns that resonate with our consumers in the U.S.”
DAVID, New York will lead national integrated marketing and creative campaign development and marketing communication execution in the US.
"We’re very excited about the relationship and chemistry that are already developing between the IKEA and DAVID teams, and we’re looking forward to the amazing work that can come from it.” Carolina Vieira (North America MD at DAVID)
“We’re thrilled by the opportunity and recognize the responsibility that comes with working with such an iconic brand." Daniel Lobatón (North America CCO at DAVID).
alma will lead the company’s work aimed at multicultural audiences and the diverse IKEA customer base, further strengthening the IKEA U.S. commitment to reach the many people. In FY24, IKEA launched national marketing campaigns specifically targeting the Hispanic consumer and also introduced a Spanish-language version of IKEA.com.
“We are thrilled to welcome IKEA as a new partner and to have the opportunity to work with a brand that every creative professional aspires to collaborate with. IKEA’s commitment to seeing multicultural consumers as a growth engine for the years ahead is truly inspiring, and we look forward to helping them build even deeper connections with these vibrant communities. I’d also like to congratulate our outstanding alma team for their passion and dedication throughout the entire pitch process—this achievement is a testament to their hard work and creativity.” said Isaac Mizrahi, CEO, alma.
IKEA U.S. extends its sincere thanks to Ogilvy, who has served as creative agency partner for the past 15 years, for their outstanding and invaluable contributions, guiding the IKEA brand to what it is today.
New work from DAVID New York and alma will launch fall 2025.
