IKEA U.S. is excited to announce a new city store in Dallas, Texas slated to open late 2025. IKEA Dallas - University Park, located at The Shops at Park Lane, will be a two-level store where customers can come for inspiration, learn about home furnishings, and find the most iconic IKEA range for immediate take-away. This will be the eleventh store in the Texas market. Currently, there are five full-sized IKEA stores, three Plan & order points with Pick up, and two new stores opening soon in San Marcos and Rockwall.
"At IKEA, we want to create a better everyday life for the many people and one way we can do that is by bringing IKEA close to where people live, work, socialize and shop. That’s why we're enhancing our store formats for greater convenience, making delivery more affordable, and ensuring better connectivity with our customers in their daily lives,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO & Chief Sustainability Officer, IKEA U.S. “The opening of IKEA Dallas - University Park is a perfect example of our strategy to develop smaller, more accessible urban store formats, bringing a more connected and accessible IKEA experience to everyone."
IKEA is on a journey in the U.S. to become more accessible, affordable and convenient for the many. This new 63,000 square foot small-format store offers a new way of reaching customers both in-store and digitally, with 3,200 articles available for takeaway including food too! Although the entire range will not be available for immediate takeaway, it can be ordered online, with options for free store pick-up or home delivery at a minimal fee.
“I am excited to announce the future opening of IKEA Dallas - University Park." said Ben Sandoval, Market Manager, IKEA U.S. "Our biggest competitive advantage are our IKEA stores. This is where everything comes together under one roof and where visitors can experience our brand, our solutions, and our amazing co-workers. This location will provide a relevant food offer and a curated selection of products for immediate takeaway.”
IKEA is dedicated to elevating the customer experience with a variety of customer meeting points and locations that complement each other and meet people's different home furnishing needs. In addition to opening new customer meeting points, IKEA U.S. has made significant investments to enhance its e-commerce experience and service offerings, including new IKEA Family and IKEA for Business benefits, lower-priced shipping and delivery, Click & Collect and TaskRabbit assembly services.
