Corsicana Mattress Makes Strategic Leadership Hires

Corsicana Mattress, one of the nation's largest mattress producers serving thousands of partners across the U.S., recently made two key strategic leadership hires that will accelerate the company’s initiative to facilitate exceptional growth by solidifying its position as a critical partner to their network of retailers in the home furnishings industry.
Joining the executive leadership team are industry veterans, Colin Blackmon and Terry Johnson.
Blackmon has been appointed as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The former Ashley sales executive brings more than three decades of bedding and furniture experience to this new role. Along with his experience at Ashley, Blackmon had tenures at Simmons and Kingsdown, including a previous stint at Corsicana several years ago in a sales management role. He brings a wealth of experience working within the home furnishings industry with large independent retailers, national buying groups and with selling multiple categories of products in addition to bedding.

In late 2024, Corsicana hired logistics executive Terry Johnson as Vice President of Logistics. Formerly with Tempur Sealy International, Johnson is working to help further build strength to the company’s distribution and fulfillment capabilities. “Joining Corsicana at this pivotal moment of growth and innovation is truly exciting,” says Johnson.
