Paramount Sleep Company has earned exclusive rights to the Seal of Cotton trademark, making it the only mattress manufacturer to carry the Cotton Incorporated label for two years. This achievement reinforces Paramount’s commitment to sustainability, material integrity, and providing retailers with a distinct competitive advantage of offering the only mattresses in the marketplace with the globally recognized label.
The Seal of Cotton trademark is recognized by more than 80% of consumers around the world and has become associated with comfort, quality, sustainability, and durability. Cotton Incorporated research indicates many retailers and brands using the Seal of Cotton in their marketing have seen double-digit increases in sales of products with the label. The power of the Seal of Cotton over the past 50 years is illustrated by consumer sentiment:
— 77% say a brand using the Seal of Cotton cares about the environment
— 81% say that a brand with the Seal of Cotton is trying to help them make an informed decision
“For mattress retailers, the iconic Seal of Cotton represents a significant differentiator, allowing them to offer mattresses that are sustainably crafted backed by one of the most trusted names in natural fibers,” said Richard Fleck, president of Paramount Sleep. “As consumers continue prioritizing environmentally responsible products, this exclusive label strengthens brand credibility and enhances the value of the retailer’s brand and the Paramount Sleep offerings.”
Many of Paramount Sleep’s best-selling collections will carry the Seal of Cotton, including the Paramount Collection, Asteria, Macy’s HD, Hypnos Whole Sleep Cotton, A.H. Beard Classic, and Haynes Virginia Luxury private label collection. The new HD collection that will debut at High Point Market next month will also bear the Seal of Cotton trademark. These collections uphold the natural benefits of cotton, offering superior breathability, moisture-wicking properties, and hypoallergenic qualities. Cotton’s durability also enhances mattress longevity, further supported by Paramount’s industry-leading 20-year warranty.
Mark Messura, senior vice president of Cotton Incorporated, said, “We are excited to collaborate with Paramount Sleep on the introduction of the Seal of Cotton for their cotton-containing mattresses. Using at least 90% cotton batting is a great commitment to a sustainable, natural fiber. The Seal of Cotton is the best way to help consumers identify real cotton content in products. The licensing of the Seal of Cotton for Paramount Sleep is testimony to the strength of the Seal of Cotton and cotton’s versatility in a wide range of products including mattresses.”
