IKEA Announces City Store for San Marcos, TX Spring 2025

IKEA U.S. announces a new small city store slated to open in spring 2025 in San Marcos, Texas. Located in the San Mar Plaza shopping center at 917 SH-80 N, San Marcos, TX, the store will bring the IKEA experience closer to the many people of San Antonio and Austin. This location will be the ninth IKEA unit in the state of Texas and is easily accessible off SH-80, and visible from IH-35.

Covering approximately 35,000 square feet, IKEA San Marcos will showcase “local living” solutions, tailored to local preferences that reflect the unique everyday needs of the San Marcos community. This store will offer more than 2,500 products on display and 2,000 items available for immediate purchase, along with a small range of Swedish Food Market items. The full product range will be available for order either for home delivery or pick-up.
