After a successful first year, British Columbia (B.C.) wood expert Canadian Wood has renewed its Corporate Partner sponsorship with the International Society of Furniture Designers (ISFD). During the Spring Market, furniture designers are invited to discover the potential of B.C.’s softwoods at the Canadian Wood Showroom & Information Center on the sixth floor of the historic Radio Building on the corner of Commerce and Main. Stop in to be inspired, explore wood products, and see why Canadian Wood is known as the premier choice for furniture and design professionals.
Canadian Wood uses world-class environmentally friendly forest products from British Columbia, Canada. They are a great resource for furniture designers and manufacturers seeking information and support for using sustainable wood products from B.C. forests. Canadian Wood will share with ISFD members the benefits of using beautiful, resilient, and versatile Western Hemlock and Douglas-Fir in their work. These woods are popular because of their natural beauty, durability, and strong environmental reputation. They are affordable alternatives over traditional hardwood species, are versatile and easy to work with, and are ideal for a wide range of traditional and contemporary furniture and home furnishings solutions.
“We are grateful for the information and expertise that Canadian Wood has made available to our members,” stated David Blair, ISFD executive director. “ISFD is always looking to partner with innovative companies and organizations whose products and services provide real benefits to professional furniture designers. The Corporate Partner program provides opportunities to share news and information with ISFD members via our website, monthly email newsletter, and in-person events.”
