Home Furnishings Assoc. 2025 Officers & Board Members

The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) announces its 2025 Slate of Officers and the addition of six new board members. These industry leaders will bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the board as the HFA continues its commitment to advancing the home furnishings industry and supporting its members.

2025 Slate of Officers:

  • Past President: Matt Schultz, John V. Schultz/Levin Furniture
  • President: Dave Koehler, Johnny Janosi
  • President-Elect: Nora Gomez, NFM (Nebraska Furniture Mart)
  • Secretary: Randilynn Talsma, Blended Furniture Market
  • Treasurer: Jared Simon, Simon’s Furniture

HFA also welcomes six new board members who will begin their term in 2025. These outstanding industry leaders bring a wealth of experience, passion, and innovative thinking to the HFA Board, representing various facets of the home furnishings industry. Each will contribute valuable perspectives as HFA continues its mission of supporting retailers and promoting growth across the industry. Newest Board Members:

Paris Gholston
Customer Relations Coordinator, Mattress Recycling Council
Paris Gholston brings her sustainability-driven expertise to the HFA Board. Based in Washington, D.C., Paris has been a key figure at the Mattress Recycling Council (MRC) since 2015. She has worked tirelessly to promote nationwide mattress recycling, collaborating with teams across finance, government affairs, and marketing. Her dedication to sustainability and deep understanding of recycling programs make her an invaluable addition to the HFA Board.

Bailee Nebeker
Owner, American Homestead Furniture
Bailee Nebeker is a trailblazer in the furniture industry and the owner of American Homestead Furniture. Her entrepreneurial spirit and background in digital marketing have earned her a stellar reputation. Having previously served as vice president of Wallaroo’s Furniture & Mattress, Bailee’s hands-on experience across 12 store locations in four western states brings a fresh approach to consumer engagement through digital and social media strategies. Her forward-thinking leadership will add significant value to the HFA Board.

Eric Poupard
Vice President of Sales, Hudson’s Furniture
With nearly a decade of experience in sales development and operational strategy, Eric Poupard has quickly made a name for himself as an innovative leader at Hudson’s Furniture. His ground-up approach and deep industry knowledge will provide critical insights into the challenges and opportunities HFA members face. Eric’s commitment to driving operational improvement and sales success aligns perfectly with the HFA’s mission.

Rebecca Reeder
President, La-Z-Boy Retail Furniture Galleries
Rebecca Reeder serves as President of La-Z-Boy Retail, overseeing 168 company-owned Furniture Galleries® stores. Her executive oversight includes sales and operational alignment across company-owned and independently-owned stores. Rebecca's focus on delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience across La-Z-Boy's extensive retail network will be a tremendous asset to the HFA as it continues to elevate retail standards.

Peter Theran
President, Boston Interiors
Peter Theran leads Boston Interiors, a premier home furnishings retailer with seven mid-to-high-end showrooms in the Boston area. With over 20 years of experience in retail and a deep understanding of consumer needs, Peter has transformed Boston Interiors into a destination for high-quality, New England-inspired furniture and home design. His leadership experience across industries, including electronics and therapeutic seating, will bring a well-rounded perspective to the HFA Board.

Matthew Waugh
Executive Director of Finance & Operations, Furnitureland South
As the Executive Director of Finance and Operations at Furnitureland South, Matthew Waugh is responsible for the financial and operational success of the world’s largest furniture store. Matthew’s nearly two decades of experience in the furniture industry and his expertise in operations management and supply chain optimization have been instrumental in elevating Furnitureland South’s reputation for efficiency and service. His strategic focus will further enhance the HFA’s efforts to promote operational excellence across the industry.
