The RW Collective Adds Holiday Décor to Its Portfolio

In its continuing bid to become a one-stop, to-the-trade resource for retailers and designers, The RW Collective is adding holiday décor to its portfolio, introducing a tightly curated collection of trees, wreaths and garland. The new line is being offered under its Jes & Gray brand.

The new products include a trio of Alpine Snowy Fir trees between five and eight feet tall. On metal bases, the smallest of the three trees features 17 branches and retails for $145, while the largest features 35 branches and retails for $215. Mini table-top versions are also available, and the star of the show is a fully lit, Grandis Snowy Fir at 7 ½ feet in height and five feet in diameter with 650 micro-LED lights retailing for about $600.

All of the products are stocked domestically and available for immediate shipment and can be ordered via the company’s website: www.therwcollective.com.

According to Michael Carey, chief executive officer, the new holiday décor collection is designed to fill a void in the marketplace for both home furnishings retailers and the interior design community.

“As a retailer myself, I know the holidays present a real challenge for furniture retailers whether stocking holiday-related merchandise is a part of their merchandising strategy or not,” said Carey who is also owner of Atelier Home and president of Stock & Trade Design Co., one of the hottest design-focused home furnishings chains in the Southeast.

The collection was created to help home furnishings retailers compete with big box competition at this time of year, based on the idea that stores need to be dressed in a way that is welcoming and reflective of the season in order to bring customers through the doors. “All the better, if a retailer’s seasonal presentation is so inviting that their customers want to replicate what they see in their own spaces,” Carey said.

The trick to making it work for furniture retailers is timing because buyers must typically make commitments to holiday décor vendors during the January markets each year. “Personally, I never wanted to have to think about the next year’s holiday just as the current year’s celebrations were ending, and I know I’m not alone,” said the executive.

Unfortunately, when retailers and designers are actually ready to focus on their holiday presentations sometime in the fall, if they didn’t place orders the previous January, vendors are sold out of product, and they are shut out.

The RW Collective’s new holiday collection addresses this disconnect and makes it easy for retailers and designers to conquer the holiday category whenever they are ready to focus on it and place orders.

“This is all about providing value and convenience for our customers and making it easier for interior designers to take on extra business and even last-minute projects for the holidays,” Carey said.

As the company moves forward, plans are to refresh the holiday collection each season and stay ahead of the trends with unique items, without getting too deep into the category. “We’re not becoming a Christmas vendor per se; we simply want to offer our retail customers options and simplify the holiday process for everyone.”
