OASIQ Continues Mission with Non-Profit Be Original Americas

OASIQ, the modern outdoor furniture company, announces its continued membership with the non-profit creative advocacy organization, Be Original Americas. The nonprofit's mission is to inform, educate, and influence manufacturers, artisans, design professionals, and consumers about the economic, ethical, and environmental value of authentic design.

“We take pride in being part of an organization that champions originality and protects unique designs,” says Tony Peng, managing director, OASIQ. “As a company, particularly one that also operates as an OEM, we've always been committed to creating truly original pieces. This commitment extends to the designers we collaborate with, partnering only with creative minds who strive to create something singular, exploring new materials and styles, rather than modifying existing designs. We also believe in nurturing the next generation of designers, which can only thrive if their creativity is protected.”

OASIQ’s dedication to working with creative innovators to create and curate new and inventive approaches to outdoor furnishings is beautifully exemplified in one of the brand’s most celebrated collections to date, Hamilton.

The aforementioned collection came to fruition when OASIQ took an out-of-the-box approach and asked Taiwanese artist Lee Yi-rong—a master carver known for his incredible woodworking skills and award-winning bird carving techniques—to design a new line of furniture. The result, Hamilton, is a stunning display of innovation and craftsmanship—with laminated slabs of wood seamlessly joined to form a stunning grouping of tables, chairs, sofas, and benches.

Be Original Americas was founded in 2012. Through its work it has protected more than 8,000 jobs, seized more than $15.1 million worth of goods, and intercepted 38 shipments of counterfeit goods. Protecting original design, protects the future of design. The nonprofit currently has 180 member firms—ranging from multibillion-dollar corporations with thousands of employees, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, media partners, and retailers along with the members of the A&D Community, to name a few.
