Symphony Sleep Empowers Retailers to Reach Aging Consumers

Symphony Sleep is empowering furniture and mattress retailers to reach a diverse type of consumers who are currently being overlooked and underserved in the marketplace. The company’s ESHILO adjustable base accessory kit thoughtfully designed to transform sleep and enhance in-home care for millions of people who are aging in place, or have conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, autism and vertigo, among others.

"Symphony Sleep offers an unprecedented opportunity for retailers to become a complete solution provider, and the ESHILO represents a significant opportunity for retailers to expand their market reach, addressing the growing demand for adaptive sleep solutions across multiple demographics," said Schulte.

The company says its lineup of adjustable bases and accessories enable retailers to future-proof their business in this category while doing the same for their customers’ sleep environment because Symphony Sleep products are designed to adapt to life changes and the special needs that arise.

Value of Aging in Place

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the 65-and-older population will reach 80.8 million by 2040. With the aging-in-place market projected to reach $2 trillion by 2032, and increasing awareness of sleep's importance in managing various health conditions, retailers can now offer a single solution that serves diverse customer needs with a premium, versatile solution that combines medical functionality with residential comfort.

Autism Spectrum Support

Research indicates that up to 80% of autistic children experience sleep difficulties, including trouble falling and staying asleep. The ESHILO offers customizable positions that help create optimal sleep environments, potentially improving sleep quality and overall well-being for these individuals.

Parkinson’s Disease

Many people living with Parkinson’s have turned to adjustable beds to address some of the challenges that affect mobility and sleep quality. In addition to providing individualized sleep positions that can alleviate discomfort and stiffness, ESHILO makes it easier and safer to enter and exit the bed. It also makes it easier for caregivers to support their patient or loved one in their daily needs.

Specialized Care Solutions

The ESHILO’s ability to provide elevation options can help manage vertigo symptoms as well as multiple positions to enhance circulatory and respiratory health.

Recently, Symphony Sleep partnered with Make-A-Wish® to donate and install a new adjustable base with the ESHILO in the home of a young girl with special needs. The new bed and its multiple features have allowed the child to get better quality sleep through customizable sleep positions and assisted her caregivers by making it easier and safer to support her daily needs.

Its advanced features and functionality include German-engineered height adjustment system ranging from 10 inches (ground level) to 31.5 inches (waist height); precision tilting capabilities supporting both Trendelenburg (feet above head) and reverse Trendelenburg (head above feet) positions; quick-connect frame-to-frame installation system; and ergonomic wired remote for precise control. The ESHILO is compatible with all Symphony Sleep adjustable bases, available in Twin XL and Queen sizes.

"The ESHILO exemplifies our commitment to holistic design and precision German engineering. Every detail has been carefully considered to enhance the quality of life for both users and their caregivers, while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of residential furniture,” Schulte said.
