RH announced the opening of RH Raleigh, The Gallery at North Hills, an immersive retail experience seamlessly integrating luxury home furnishings collections from RH Interiors, Contemporary, Modern and Outdoor with rare art, antiques and artifacts from across the globe. Reflecting the brand’s continued commitment to hospitality, RH Raleigh features a dramatic, glass-encased Rooftop Restaurant offering a thoughtfully curated menu of enduring classics featuring the freshest ingredients, simply and elegantly prepared.
RH Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Gary Friedman commented, “We believe great architecture amplifies and renders our product and brand more valuable. We either find great historical architecture and readapt it, or we build it. RH Raleigh is an entirely new design, built from the ground up.” Mr. Friedman continued, “We are excited to welcome guests in Raleigh’s vibrant community to discover the world of RH.”
Conceptualized as a transparent, multilevel contemporary structure, the Gallery features a parchment-cream exterior with an expanse of glass-and-steel French doors that open onto lush garden courtyards and terraces. A serene walking path frames the Gallery’s edge with decomposed granite and bluestone pavers, surrounded by a progression of Japanese littleleaf boxwoods.
Ascending the grand staircase to the third level, guests will arrive at The Rooftop Restaurant, presenting the latest iteration of the brand’s menu, including new signature dishes such as a Whole Grilled Branzino, The Grilled Vegetable & Shrimp Salad, and what we believe might be the best Fried Chicken Sandwich in America. Set within a year-round, skylit garden escape beneath a dramatic atrium punctuated by sparkling chandeliers, heritage olive trees and a cascading cast-stone fountain, the restaurant seamlessly extends from indoors to out, where guests can explore the beautifully landscaped Wine Terrace. Influenced by the classical gardens of Europe, the rooftop terrace features a series of intimate RH Outdoor lounge spaces, defined by a layered composition of pleached London plane trees and shade canopies.
Two monumental wall fountains flank the grand stair, where an adjacent Wine Bar will serve exceptional Champagnes and wines from around the world–including limited-production offerings from Napa Valley’s renowned small vintners–for visitors to enjoy on the rooftop or while exploring the rest of the Gallery.
On level two, guests will discover artistic lifestyle installations of RH Collections by internationally acclaimed designers–as well as RH Interior Design Offices. Clients can work with professional designers in an interactive atelier that includes two private presentation rooms, state-of-the-art technology, design libraries showcasing a wide assortment of textiles, furniture and lighting finishes and an RH Rugs gallery, presenting exclusive hand-woven collections.
On the main level, visitors will pass through a 25-foot threshold of retractable glass-and-steel doors as they continue into the central hall with soaring 14-foot ceilings and natural light emanating from a skylight three floors above. Along the periphery, barrel-vaulted passageways lead to a classical arrangement of rooms integrating the brand’s assortment of furnishings, lighting and décor with one-of-a-kind antiques and artifacts from Friedman’s world travels.
