Symphony Sleep Presents Base Line-Up to Reduce Costs

The engineers at Innovative Sleep Technologies, the designers of the adjustable base brand Symphony Sleep®, are demonstrating their holistic approach to developing product by keeping in mind the entire supply chain. They have created a new base line-up that offers retail partners the ability to reduce both freight and storage costs.

With container freight pricing on the rise again, the advantages of Symphony Sleep’s renowned German engineering translates into significant savings for its customers, This is what it means for retailers:

  • Smaller cubic dimensions for outbound freight means lower delivery costs
  • Maximizing cubes per containers for customers who want to purchase factory direct
  • Increased savings for domestic freight for customers who are buying FOB warehouse fulfillment as they can load more products per truck
  • Additional cubic storage in the retailer’s distribution centers and/or stores allows them to dedicate more space to other products
  • Better UPS rates
  • Easier product moves for installers to carry and position during in-home installations

" As freight and labor costs continues to increase, maximizing every significant pain point of logistics is paramount, without sacrificing product load ratings or build quality. It really is just an outcome of our core competency which is engineering quality products that are best-in-class in every benchmark the market has to qualify what makes a ‘good’ adjustable base," said John Schulte, president of Innovative Sleep Technologies.

Proof is in the numbers, Schulte added, providing a few example comparisons of Symphony Sleeps 2024 models to their previous 2023 lineup in terms of increased loading quantity per SKU:

  • ES200 adjustable base in king size loads 50% more per container
  • ES500 adjustable base in king loads 42% more per container
  • ES600 adjustable base in queen loads 36% more per container

Schulte calculated that for every dollar spent on inbound freight, storage and outbound freight, the Symphony Sleep 2024 base line will return up to $0.50.

“The return on investment in our base line-up is as much of a game changer as is the quality and technology that Symphony Sleep bases offer to retailers,” he stated.
